A window into the world of the anime entertainment industry

The story centers on Hitomi Saito, who makes her directorial debut in the anime industry and aims for the top. When only three anime titles among fifty might turn a profit the competition to top the charts and gain the title of “Haken” (Supremacy) is fierce. But Hitomi won’t be doing this alone.

Aiding Hitomi in her ultimate ambition is none other than Chiharu Oji, a famous anime producer who worked on many mega-hit films, and who is returning to the director’s chair for the first time in eight years. Also, joining their team is an eccentric female animator. Will these three women have what it takes to make it in the anime industry that is rife with obstacles that need to be overcome, such as murderous schedules and deadlines, demoralizing compromises just to get viewers during those late-night slots, and incorrigible men in the workplace?
