Crunchyroll is streaming Blue Lock in its original Japanese language with English subtitles.
On November 3, 2022, the official website for the anime adaptation of Muneyuki Kaneshiro (story) and (illustrations) Yusuke Nomura’s Blue Lock sports, thriller manga released 5 screenshots and synopsis for Blue Lock Episode 5 titled “Reborn”.
Fans of Kuroko’s Basketball are likely enjoying Blue Lock’s wide cast of characters that each have their own unique and likable personality. With so many characters it’s hard to create interesting personalities, but this anime has managed to do so. As Isagi gets to know the soccer players around him so do we. The animation for the intense soccer playing is amazing and highly detailed.
In Blue Lock Episode 4 it was Isagi’s Team Z versus Team Y. Team Y’s most dangerous member is rank #254 shooter Hibiki Okawa. Team Z’s plan was to use their respective “weapons” that Ego hinted at. In order to let one person’s weapon shine at a time, the rest of the players made a formation around them and supported the forward as they played in whatever way they wanted.
Team Z repeated this and rotated clockwise through all 11 teammates. Each player got ten minutes. The operation was called “Me, next 9”. Bachira started out using his dribbling technique followed by Rensuke Kunigami’s left leg shot weapon.
Team Y’s goal was to make a counterattack. Ikki Niko (Bangs-kun) passed to Hibiki Okawa and they made a shot. Kuon showed off his jumping power. Shark-toothed Raichi was thwarted and unable to use his weapon. Isagi realized it was Niko who was controlling Team Y from the shadows.
What is the plot of Blue Lock Episode 5?
Episode 5 will begin with Asahi Naruhaya going up next to use his “defense breaker” skill. Isagi makes sure passes aren’t getting through to Niko. But Niko ominously says, “My eyes are what let me precisely survey the field and my brain lets me make use of others. Even if you stop me – you won’t stop my ideas”.
It’s the second half and there are 35 minutes left. Gurimu Igarishi steps up with his “relentless plays”. Team Y has a final move planned that they only use when the score is tied. A tactic to turn things around when their team is stuck in a defensive battle.
What is it? Will Isagi and the others be able to counter this move? You’ll have to wait until Blue Lock Episode 5 in order to find out!
What is the plot of Blue Lock?
The Blue Lock trailer begins by explaining how in 2018, the Japanese national team finished 16th in the FIFA World Cup – a disastrous defeat. The Japanese Football Union regroups and decides to hire the soccer enigma, bowl-haircut sporting, Ego Jinpachi (voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya in the trailer) to help them figure out what their team is missing.
Ego Jinpachi’s master plan to lead Japan to stardom is Blue Lock – a training regimen designed to create the world’s greatest egotist strike or “Ace Striker” whose responsibility would be to guide the team to a win as its leader. In order to create a striker who hungers for goals and thirsts for victory, the Japan Football Union gathers 300 of Japan’s best, brightest, and incredibly eccentric youth players.
The story centers on a high school soccer player named Yoichi Isagi, who has a unique play style, and feels he’s hit a wall by himself. He decides to join the program in order to test himself and aim for the top.
However, those who fail Blue Lock won’t be permitted to represent Japan ever again, and the other potential striker candidates are ready to out-muscle and out-ego everyone who stands in their way. Will Yoichi have what it takes to become an Ace Striker?
