Chigiri believed he was a “chosen one” and that there were just people “with talent” and those “without talent”. However, when he played a particular game too hard the ACL in his right knee was torn. The doctor warned Chigiri that if he tore it again he wouldn’t be able to continue as an athlete.

With five minutes left in the game, Isagi can’t smell a goal. He spots Bachira surrounded by guards. Someone needs to break past their defense. Isagi decides he’ll do it on his own, but sucks at dribbling. Team Z is aiming for a tie to at least get to play in the next game.

Chagiri believed he could be the world’s best and risked everything for the sport. But while watching Isagi give it his all to break past the other team’s defenses Chigiri realizes there’s something more important than injuring his leg again and having to give up soccer. It’s that feeling of being able to believe in himself when he passes someone. Chigiri dashes across the field and suddenly Isagi can smell a goal.

Will Chigiri be able to unleash his weapon to its full potential? Will he manage to break past the other team’s defense and make a goal? We’ll have to wait until Blue Lock Episode 7 in order to find out.

What is the plot of Blue Lock?

The Blue Lock trailer begins by explaining how in 2018, the Japanese national team finished 16th in the FIFA World Cup – a disastrous defeat. The Japanese Football Union regroups and decides to hire the soccer enigma, bowl-haircut sporting, Ego Jinpachi (voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya in the trailer) to help them figure out what their team is missing.

Ego Jinpachi’s master plan to lead Japan to stardom is Blue Lock – a training regimen designed to create the world’s greatest egotist strike or “Ace Striker” whose responsibility would be to guide the team to a win as its leader. In order to create a striker who hungers for goals and thirsts for victory, the Japan Football Union gathers 300 of Japan’s best, brightest, and incredibly eccentric youth players.

The story centers on a high school soccer player named Yoichi Isagi, who has a unique play style, and feels he’s hit a wall by himself. He decides to join the program in order to test himself and aim for the top.

However, those who fail Blue Lock won’t be permitted to represent Japan ever again, and the other potential striker candidates are ready to out-muscle and out-ego everyone who stands in their way. Will Yoichi have what it takes to become an Ace Striker?
