On October 4, 2022, the official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of Kafka Asagiri (story) and Sango Harukawa’s (illustrations) Bungo Stray Dogs (Bungou Sutorei Doggusu) action, mystery, supernatural manga released a key visual.
The announcement also teased the plot of Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4, “Isolated Detective Agency attacks the Hound’s fan. In front of the military police’s special forces, the Hounds, how will the Armed Detective Agency overcome [this new] predicament?”
Two new cast members were also revealed as well as the character designs for the characters they will voice. Yuuki Kaji will play Saigiku Jouno and Youhei Azakami will play Tecchou Suehiro. The characters Saigiku Jouno and Tecchou Suehiro are both members of the Special Forces unit known as the Hounds.
Saigiku Jouno is a master of “blind interrogation”. He is able to use his keen hearing to hear the heartbeat of his prey and can even guess a subject’s mental state. He has a calm demeanor but has a bad habit of poking at the pain points of his opponents.
Tecchou Suehiro has the strongest combat power in the Special Forces unit and has earned the nickname “Meteor Cutter”. Suehiro’s body and will are as strong as steel and once he has an enemy in his grasp he never let’s go. He doesn’t get along with Jouno due to his eccentric habit of doing muscle training even during meetings.

What is the plot of Bungo Stray Dogs?
The story centers on 18-year-old Atsushi Nakajima and begins when a mystical tiger that only he seems to be unaware of plagues his orphanage. Atsushi is accused of being behind the strange incidents at the orphanage and is kicked out. With nowhere else to go Atsushi wanders through the city – homeless and hungry. Later, when Atsushi is passing by a river he notices a man drowning and decides to save him. The man turns out to be a rather eccentric individual named Osamu Dazai.
Apparently, Osamu is a whimsical suicide enthusiast and supernatural detective, who has been investigating the same tiger that has been terrorizing Atsushi. Atsushi teams up with Osamu and his partner Doppo Kunikida to solve the case, but when they uncover the truth behind the mystery of the tiger it’s something that changes Atsushi’s life.
Atsushi is swept up by a series of odd events and ends up being coerced into joining Osamu’s firm of supernatural investigators known as the Armed Detective Agency.
