What is the plot of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill?
The story centers on Mukouda Tsuyoshi, who is an ordinary, modern-day Japanese man. One day, he gets whisked away to a sword-and-sorcery world, and thought this was his chance for the adventure of a lifetime! Unfortunately, Mukouda discovers that he was just a civilian that got caught up in a Hero Summoning by a certain Kingdom. To add insult to injury, Mukouda’s base stats are shabby compared to the legitimate heroes.
Mukouda notices that the King and his associates are acting pretty suspicious and realizes they’re the kind of people who will try to take advantage of the three heroes. Before they turned their attention to him, Mukouda decides to leave the Kingdom as soon as possible. The only thing Mukouda can rely on is his unique skill “Net Supermarket” which enables him to order goods from modern Japan to the fantasy world.
Mukouda’s skill is pretty useless in battle, but he decides if he plays his cards right maybe he can lead a comfortable life. However, as an unexpected consequence the food he brings over from Japan has some absurd effects on the local populace.
What will happen when Mukouda brings absurdly delicious modern cuisine to a sword-and-sorcery world that’s grown accustomed to tasteless slop? Mukouda attracts some regulars who beg for more and start to turn his life upside down.
