On November 1, 2022, the staff of the anime adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s action, comedy, horror, dark fantasy Chainsaw Man (Chensou Man) manga released Episode 4’s ending video, which features the song “Jozai” performed by TOOBOE.

Chainsaw Man will feature differing ending theme songs for each of its episodes that will be performed by various artists in order to have a song that really embodies the theme and emotions of the episode. Chainsaw Man Episode 1’s ending theme song was “Blood on a Chainsaw” (“Chainsaw Blood”) by Vaundy.

Chainsaw Man Episode 2’s ending theme song was “Time Left” (“Zankai”, “Loops”) performed by ZUTOMAYO.

Chainsaw Man Episode 3’s ending theme song was “Hawatari 2-oku Centi” performed by Maximum the Hormone.

Chainsaw Man Episode 4 centered on Power’s bond with Meowy, and Denji’s battle against the Leech demon. It’s interesting to note how a heartless demon can end up caring for a pet cat like a normal person. Just how different are “devils” from “humans”?

Aki showed us his soft side by letting Power and Denji off the hook for wandering too far on their own, causing trouble, and for Power trying to kill Denji. Although, Aki would completely deny that this is him being soft and that he’s just being practical and using the devils.

The episode focused a lot on Power, and how she thinks and feels, which is why the ending theme song “Jozai” is a perfect fit for this episode. The song is wild, chaotic, crazy, playful, and fun – just like the blood fiend Power.

TOOBOE’s “Shun-Ran” gained 1 million views

In April 2019, TOOBOE debuted as a VOCALOID producer releasing the song “Inferiority”, which was inspired by his various music experiences since childhood. Afterward, he released songs at a rapid pace, and his song “Shun-Ran” was released in December of that same year. “Shun-Ran” garnered 1 million views on YouTube.

TOOBOE is a multi-creator, who handles everything from arrangements to illustrations to videos all by himself. In August 2020, he began working on solo projects that have a wider range and don’t just focus on VOCALOID music.

What is the plot of Chainsaw Man?

The story is set in a world where devils are born from human fears and are made manifest in reality. The devils tend to be evil and dangerous and are as powerful as the fear they are able to evoke. However, as the need for “Devil Hunters” arose so did the need to form contracts with the devils in order to gain their power and fight fire with fire. The devils usually live in a dimension called “Hell” but when they are killed there they’re transferred to the physical plane of Earth. Once a devil is killed on Earth they return to Hell.

The story centers on an impoverished young man named Denji, who due to the astounding debt his father left behind is struggling to find odd jobs in order to survive. He befriends a dog-like devil named Pochita and together they collect devil corpses to earn money.

However, one day Denji is betrayed and killed. Just as his consciousness is fading he decides to make a contract with Pochita. The devil merges its body with Denji granting him the ability to transform parts of his body into deadly chainsaws. Using his newfound power, Denji joins the Public Safety Devil Hunters – a government agency tasked with fighting devils whenever they become a threat to humanity.
