Chainsaw Man Episode 7 synopsis
Chainsaw Man Episode 7 began with Denji battling against the Eternity Devil. While watching Denji’s crazy fight Himeno reminisces about visiting the cemetery with her mentor Kishibe. Kishibe states that they’ve lost so many devil hunters because they were sane and sane people fear devils. Fear makes devils stronger. But devils fear devil hunters that have a few screws loose.
Himeno looks down at Denji fighting and drinking the devil’s blood in order to keep fighting in an endless loop and thinks that if it’s that crazy guy then maybe Denji will be able to defeat the Gun Devil.
Eventually, the Eternity Devil can’t take the pain and offers Denji its hearts so he can finish him off. Denji passes out from fighting for days without sleep. Later, Himeno and Aki have a smoke together in an alleyway and discuss Denji. What could Denji’s true identity be? Why are the devils after him? Why do they seem to fear him? And why does Makima have a strange interest in Denji? Himeno decides they should invite Makima to a “newbie welcome party” for Division 4 with the intention of getting Makima drunk so they can find out the truth about Denji.
At the party, everyone in Division 4 gets extremely drunk. Himeno tells Denji when she’s drunker she’ll give him that French kiss she promised him. But when Makima arrives Denji is hesitant to let himself get kissed in front of her. However, Himeno gets so drunk that she just grabs Denji and starts kissing him. Unfortunately, she also ends up throwing up into his mouth and Denji swallows it!
Poor Denji ended up having a “vomit kiss” for his first kiss.
The ending theme song “Kiss, Diversity” is a perfect fit for this episode since it focuses on the femme fatales in Denji’s life and on their “cute side”. But we all know these girls are trouble. The ED video also focuses on the part-hilarious part-horrifying vomit kiss that poor Denji has to go through.

What is the plot of Chainsaw Man?
The story is set in a world where devils are born from human fears and are made manifest in reality. The devils tend to be evil and dangerous and are as powerful as the fear they are able to evoke. However, as the need for “Devil Hunters” arose so did the need to form contracts with the devils in order to gain their power and fight fire with fire. The devils usually live in a dimension called “Hell” but when they are killed there they’re transferred to the physical plane of Earth. Once a devil is killed on Earth they return to Hell.
The story centers on an impoverished young man named Denji, who due to the astounding debt his father left behind is struggling to find odd jobs in order to survive. He befriends a dog-like devil named Pochita and together they collect devil corpses to earn money.
However, one day Denji is betrayed and killed. Just as his consciousness is fading he decides to make a contract with Pochita. The devil merges its body with Denji granting him the ability to transform parts of his body into deadly chainsaws.
