Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba figures range in quality from masterpieces to bizarrely horrible. Here are the best (and the worst) of the Nezuko figure statues… and I suppose we’ll tackle the worst first.
Demon Slayer’s Tanjiro Kamado needs to invent a new breathing technique to exorcise my eyes after beholding this abomination. This new Demon Slayer figure has invoked naked horror in my soul, but it’s more out of revulsion than being scary.
The Tanjiro figure looks like the demon slayer corpsman had a run-in with a head-shrinker demon. Tanjiro’s eyes are popping out and looking in all directions. Its body is warped and misshapen like a melting wax doll.
In its right hand, the Tanjiro figurine holds what appears to be a scythe that’s probably attempting to (very badly) imitate the special effects of the water-breathing form technique. This Tanjiro figure even managed to mess up his main katana again, which is certain to have swordsmith Hotaru Haganezuka chasing Tanjiro all over creation!
The box set includes a tiny and cute Demon Slayer Nezuko figure. Tanjiro’s sister is probably the only saving grace to this Demon Slayer figure set since she can come out of the detachable carrier that Tanjiro normally wears when traveling. Even then the proportions of the wooden box are wrong since smol Nezuko is sitting too high on Tanjiro’s shoulders.
At least the price of the Demon Slayer Tanjiro figure isn’t scary
Made out of plastic, the Tanjiro figure stands at 28 CM (or about 11 inches), which means it’s roughly around 1/6 scale. It is currently being sold for 394 Mexican pesos, which is around $18 USD. Shipping is free from Mercado Libre (but is it worth the price of the damage to your soul?).
The Demon Slayer figurine box set includes:
- 1 Tanjiro character
- 2 swords
- 1 transport box
- 1 Nezuko character
- 1 Box
The product description has the gall to claim that it’s the “best option on the market” and declares, “Because it is a product of excellent quality, at the lowest price on the market and we send you a completely FREE gift.”
In case you have a serious case of the nom-noms, or you have a friend who randomly chews on stuff like Inosuke, then don’t worry since it’s non-toxic and “none of our products can cause any harm if ingested.”
But you’re more likely to throw the Tanjiro figure across the room in disgust. Even then, “the product is of excellent quality, so you can play with it without fear of it falling or breaking.”
Demon Slayer Nezuko Demon Form figure is what collectors really want
Need to wash your eyes out with something beautiful? Check out Magic Cube Studios’ Demon Slayer Nezuko figure that features her adult demon form from the ending of Demon Slayer Season 2. Made from resin, it’s 1/6 scale and stands at 16.5 inches high including the base with the light-up LED moon.
Of course, such beauty won’t be a mere $18 USD. This Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba figure will set you back a cool $599.99 if purchased through Favor GK. Keep in mind that it’s a limited run production so when the sun comes up your opportunity to buy could just burn away into ash…
