An official announcement has been made by Fire Force that a third stage play would be presented. Fans had hoped for some flair from the anime to make up for the absence of new content after Atsushi Okubo’s original manga series finished earlier this year.
The conclusion of the Fire Force anime’s second season in 2020 left fans with a significant cliffhanger, although the Fire Force Season 3 anime has been announced already. It’s been a long wait, but hopefully, there will be some excitement with this new stage production.

According to Comic Natalie, the picture displays Shinra Kusakabe’s manga-inspired costume from the play. In the theatrical adaption, Hikaru Makishima plays the flame-kicking hero.
Hachioji Zombies, a 2020 horror comedy, featured Makishima before. The photographs were made public to advertise the imminent premiere of Recapture From The Underground, the third stage play in the series. The drama will have its world premiere performances from September 17 to September 25, 2022, at the Sunshine Theater in Tokyo, after which it will run from September 29 to October 2, 2022, at the Kyoto Theater.

Yugi Iwasaki, who has previously been in stage adaptations of The Prince of Tennis, will also be included in the play as Sho Kusakabe, Shinra’s brother. Yu Saotome, who played Tamaki Kotatsu in the film Kamen Rider Heisei Generations: Dr. Pac-Man vs. Ex-Aid & Ghost with Legend Rider, and Yu Imari, who played Company 8’s leader Akitaru Obi, are two more famous cast members. Imari previously made an appearance in Hakuoki, the popular otome video game series’ live-action remake.
Fire Force may be the author’s final manga
Atsushi Ohkubo, a manga author and illustrator well known for his previous successful series Soul Eater, is the creator of the series. In February of 2022, Ohkubo released the concluding chapter of Fire Force. Although the renowned manga artist had previously announced that he intended to retire when the series was over, a message published at the end of the last chapter of the series suggested that Ohkubo might still be considering continuing to create art in the future.
The third season of the anime adaptation was announced to be in production in May 2022, but the premiere time frame hasn’t been confirmed yet. Regardless, Fire Force Season 3 is something that fans of the series can look forward to even though the manga has come to an end. The company behind Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure anime and the impending Urusei Yatsura revival, David Production, is responsible for the anime series. On Crunchyroll, the first two seasons of the program are now streaming.
