The creator of Haikyuu!! is commemorating the series’ 10th anniversary in significant ways, including an exciting new 10th-anniversary sketch!
Haruichi Furudate’s original manga series completed its run in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine a few years ago, and fans are still celebrating its big finale. This includes the series’ creator, who has continued to cherish the franchise long after its final chapter. With the series celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, there is no better moment than now to reflect on how far the series has come.
Haikyuu!! new 10th-anniversary art
Haikyuu shared the 10th-anniversary artwork on Twitter with a YouTube video commemorating key moments from the manga. Haikyuu!!.com also announced a 10th-anniversary book containing essential graphics and illustrations, which will be released on September 2, 2022. Haikyuu made these announcements concurrently with a shoutout commemorating the birthday of key protagonist Hinata Shoyo.
The new Haikyuu!! 10th-anniversary artwork depicts key members of the Karasuno volleyball team. The characters are shown in their post-time skip versions, with many pursuing jobs outside of volleyball. To pay tribute to their beginnings on the court, all characters pose as though they are jumping for a ball. Hinata, Kageyama, and Tsukishima are also pictured in their professional volleyball uniforms.

Hinata Shoyo is the focus of the YouTube video released following this illustration. It follows his development from an inexperienced high schooler to a crucial player on a pro volleyball team, the MSBY Jackals. This footage depicts Hinata’s growth as an individual player and displays his path as he learns to collaborate with others. The video emphasizes Kageyama’s importance in Hinata’s life.
Haikyuu!! manga serialization
Haikyuu!! is a popular sports manga that follows a high school volleyball team. It has released a total of 402 chapters in 45 volumes since its started serialization in 2012. The manga received the 61st Shogakukan Manga Award for best shonen manga in 2017 and has sold more than 50 million copies. The manga Haikyuu!! has now been adapted into an animated series with four seasons. The anime, like the manga, has been warmly received by both fans and critics.
Haikyuu!! tells the story of Hinata Shoyo, a short-statured teen who dreams of playing volleyball. Hinata was forced to work alongside his nemesis, Kageyama Tobio when he joined the Karasuno High School volleyball team. Tensions are high between the two newcomers, but Hinata and Kageyama may be able to lead their squad to glory if they work together. The larger story follows their teammates and many other opposing high schools as they compete to make it to nationals.
