The Culling Game tournament’s next significant phase is being covered by Jujutsu Kaisen manga. However, Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 193 of the manga foretells Maki Zenin’s demise with its significant cliffhanger.

The Culling Game’s attention has since moved to Maki and Noritoshi Kamo as they make their way through the Sakurajima Colony after watching Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Yuta Okkotsu, Panda, and Kinji Hakari engage in their individual first fights within other colonies. The two of them encountered a vengeful and more potent Cursed Spirit than they had anticipated, much like the surprises the other warriors have encountered thus far in the deadly competition.

Maki’s probable death in the Culling game

The fight with Maki is a bit more personal, even though their first genuine opponent’s surprising strength is similar to many other battles in earlier colonies and chapters. Jujutsu kaisen revealed in the earlier chapters that Naoya Zenin had since turned into an angry Cursed Spirit that enhanced his strength tenfold after his death during the aftermath of Maki’s attack on the Zenin Clan before the Culling Game had formally started. Unfortunately, it has a speed and power that Maki and Kamo are unable to handle.

Jujutsu Kaisen 193 picks up right after Naoya’s form transforms into a much more potent entity. In this deadly state, his speed had reached such a new height that Kamo and Maki are having trouble devising strategies to deal with it. It is clear that Naoya can still use his mind, ego, and Cursed Technique in this new state.

Then Naoya starts to accelerate and wind himself up for his upcoming onslaught. Maki anticipates that he will move at the same pace as sound as he did before, so she and Kamo get ready to attack.

However, when this new shape gains speed, it becomes apparent that this form is capable of going much faster by collecting air within inlets and using that air for full propulsion. When he ultimately collides with Maki, it becomes clear that he has accelerated to Mach 3.

As Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 193 draws to a close, Maki is left bleeding and maybe paralyzed while Naoya revels in his triumph. Although Maki’s defeat is difficult to accept, the competition itself has been quite unpredictable for all of the competitors. On the other hand, this is probably not over yet.

What is the Culling Game in Jujutsu Kaisen?

The Culling Game is a deathmatch among jujutsu sorcerers and non-sorcerers spread throughout 10 “colonies” in Japan. As the name suggests, Kenjaku undoubtedly seeks to sort out the lesser sorcerers and mortals and choose the best ones for his more important goals.

The players must slay their opponents after entering the game to score points. There are eight standard rules for the game. Players are free to add one rule as the game progresses for their gain. Barriers connecting the ten colonies where the game is set form a line that transports humans in Japan to the other side. Other than Hokkaido, a line of colonies at various locations runs the length of Japan.
