All eyes are on Jujutsu Kaisen’s future because it is currently one of the most popular anime series. After releasing a successful film, the IP is aiming for a Season 2, and fans are eagerly awaiting any news on the comeback.

An important update for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will go live in less than a month, according to a recent report. The Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 release date is confirmed for 2023, so it’s possible that the announcements during the special program will narrow down the time window.

Jujutsu Kaisen September 2022 event features the Japanese voice cast

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is currently in the works at Studio MAPPA. On September 18, 2022, the series will air a TV special for viewers in Japan to watch live from 5:00 to 5:30 PM JST (4:00 to 4:30 AM EST). The event is confirmed to be providing new details regarding Jujutsu Kaisen 2. This special program will be one of the first to address the comeback of the anime TV show since the sequel was formally revealed.

For those who don’t know, immediately after the first season concluded the production committee approved Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Naturally, Studio MAPPA was active in between the seasons. The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie acts as a prequel for Gojo and a beloved pupil named Yuta. Together with the primary trio of Jujutsu Kaisen, the latter is anticipated to play a significant role in Jujutsu Kaisen 2. And of course, Jujutsu Kaisen wouldn’t be the same without Gojo taking center stage.

Megumi Fushiguro’s untapped potential

Megumi Fushiguro, one of the Jujutsu Kaisen trio’s quieter and more complex members, is unexpectedly comparable to the boisterous and mischievous Satoru Gojo. Megumi’s potential and significance in the anime are highlighted by the author Gege Akutami’s use of similarities between the usually opposed characters.

When Megumi Fushiguro enrolled in Jujutsu High, a rare occurrence, he was designated a second-grade Jujutsu sorcerer. It’s obvious that despite receiving this job, Megumi was unaware of his potential. Satoru Gojo and Ryomen Sukuna were two pivotal individuals who assisted him in realizing the potential strength he may have.

Sukuna asserts to Megumi in Jujutsu Kaisen’s “Cursed Womb” arc to be capable of exorcising a special-grade curse that mirrors Gojo’s effect. As the King of Curses and the strongest Jujutsu sorcerer, respectively, Sukuna and Gojo are regarded as the strongest members of their respective sides.

Megumi’s talent and strength are magnified by his recognition by the strongest sorcerer and the strongest curse. Both encourage him to rethink the 10 Shadows technique and awaken his strength by telling him that he misunderstands his own skills, and it is obvious that he has improved over time.

Another similarity between Megumi and Gojo can be seen when comparing Megumi and Gojo’s domain expansions. The target is placed in a realm by Gojo’s Infinite Void that overwhelms their senses with information to the point that they are rendered immobilized. It’s interesting to note that Megumi’s Unknown Abyss domain extension is almost exactly the opposite of this, exploiting the total blackness of the shadows to numb the target’s senses.
