What occurs in the Shibuya Incident Arc?

The Shibuya Incident Arc is the 7th Story Arc in Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen. The story follows the entire Shibuya Incident, which occurs on October 31, 2018.

The members of the deadly alliance between cursed spirits and curse users that was forged by Mahito and Psudeo-Geto decide to finally make their move to seal Satoru Gojo.

For those who need a refresher, Mahito is a cursed spirit, who has allied himself with Pseduo-Geto. He will be one of the main villains in the Shibuya Incident Arc. He wants to eradicate humanity and replace the population with cursed spirits.

For those who need a refresher, Pseudo-Geto, otherwise known as Kenjaku, is an ancient sorcerer whose goal is to force humanity to evolve by using cursed energy. He wants to usher in a new “golden age” of jujutsu sorcery that will parallel the Heian Era. He has a cursed technique, which allows him to transplant his brain into different bodies in order to possess them. Kenjaku has inhabited different bodies throughout the centuries and has assumed countless identities.

150 years ago, he possessed Noritoshi Kamo and became known as history’s evilest sorcerer and the black sheep of the Kamo Family. Currently, Kenjaku possesses the body of the deceased Suguru Geto – who Satoru Gojo claimed was his only real friend even though they ended up becoming enemies. Kenjaku is using his Cursed Spirit Manipulation on Suguru Geto’s body in order to assume the identity Pseudo-Geto.

Given the fact that Suguru Geto thought highly of Satoru Gojo in the past and saw him as a rival it will be interesting to see if Kenjaku chose the wrong body to mess with.

Will Gojo really be sealed? Or will Gojo find an unlikely ally in the ghost of his past friend? You’ll have to watch Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 in order to find out!
