What is the plot of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun?

The story centers on a 14-year-old human boy named Iruma Suzuki. In a strange twist of fate his lazy, selfish, and neglectful parents decide to sell Iruma to a demon named Sullivan. Sullivan whisks Iruma away to the Demon World and officially adopts him as his grandson. At first, Iruma is afraid of Sullivan, but instead of being cruel like Iruma thought he’d be Sullivan spoils and dotes on Iruma.

Iruma ends up enrolling in the Babyls School for Demons where Sullivan is the headmaster. Due to a misunderstanding, Iruma is able to befriend a fire-wielding demon named Alice Asmodeus, and later befriends a demon girl named Clara Valac, who has the ability to bring forth items she has seen from the dimensional pockets attached to her skirt.

Sullivan warns Iruma to never reveal that he is human to the other demons because they might decide to eat him. Sufficiently horrified by this prospect, Iruma vows to blend in and not stand out during his time in the Demon World. However, Iruma ends up in various dangerous life-or-death situations where he ends up looking extremely talented and stands out when he’s really just trying to survive. By his second year Iruma turns 15.

The season will begin with the End of Final Days Arc (End of Terminus Days Arc/End of Summer Vacation Arc). Since there’s a little bit of time left until their “Final Days” are over Iruma and his friends find various ways to spend their remaining vacation until the second term begins. Azz-kun attends a demon ball where he runs into Ameri, and shares a dance with a young demoness while Iruma accompanies Sullivan on an errand where he encounters some interesting demons, who are candidates to become the next demon king.

Then the Special Tutor Training Arc begins. Due to the fact that everyone in the Misfit Class (Iruma and his classmates) has to meet the requirement of having a Demon Ranking of 4 to stay in the Royal One classroom, they must get stronger.

In order to accomplish this each of them is assigned to a special group of staff from Babyls that will help nurture their abilities so they can get ready for the opportunity to raise their rank during the school’s Harvest Festival.

Iruma discovers he has a talent for archery, which is something most demons don’t have the patience for. Meanwhile, Azz-kun trains in how to bring out his “Evil Cycle” to become more powerful.

Then the Harvest Festival Arc begins. After all their intense training the Misfit Class feels ready to participate in the Harvest Festival where they must gather ingredients in a demonic jungle – the aim is to get the very best ingredients and gain the most points. The misfit class will have to survive by using their newfound and improved abilities. However, unexpected threats lurk in the demonic jungle that will put their new skills to the test.
