The trailer opens with Mob finding out the news that his crush Tsubomi is moving and transferring to another school in about a month. Mob immediately decides that it is now or never to confess his feelings to her. However, on the day he decides to do just that – tragedy strikes.

Mob is also struggling with having to decide what he wants to do in the future. Reigen assures Mob that he just needs to do what he wants.

Meanwhile, Ekubo ominously states that Tsubomi isn’t the girl for him. But what does he mean by that? Is he implying Mob will put her in danger or is it something else?

Mob Psycho 100 fanbook to reveal Reigen’s past love life

On September 28, 2022, a comic strip by ONE launched on Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday web manga service to hype the upcoming Mob Psycho 100 III. The comic included a special announcement for an official fanbook that will include fans asking ONE some questions that Mob Psycho 100 fans have wanted to know the answers to for a long time.

Some of the top questions that will be answered are: has Reigen loved anyone in the past? What does Mob plan to do in the future? What is the “unfinished business” that is making Dimple remain as a ghost? What is the connection between Sho and Ritsu?

ONE will also give the inside scoop on Mob Psycho 100 from the creation of its story and setting, and how his work environment was. The fanbook will ship on November 17, 2022!

Mob Psycho 100 fans immediately began speculating who Reigen’s past lover might have been on Twitter, which caused the hashtag #Reigen to start trending!

One Mob Psycho 100 fan, @flanzee, tweeted, “New Reigen lore (that even he didn’t know). And created an illustration showing how shocked Reigen is by the news.

Another Mob Psycho 100 fan, Kelly Onelani, tweeted, “Guys, we all know who Reigen’s true past lover is, the evidence is already there [in the form of his Saitama cellphone wallpaper]”. Kelly is right about one thing though – Reigen is obviously a huge Saitama fan.

Reigen is definitely blowing up Twitter at the moment, and should we really be surprised when he managed to win Second Place in the “Ultimate Tumblr Sexyman” competition? (He lost to Sans Undertale).

What is the plot of Mob Psycho Season 3?

The story will explore new developments in Mob’s everyday life of going to school and his part-time job as an exorcist. Mob, Aratake Reigen and the newest member of their team, Katsuya Serizawa, deal with the bizarre requests that come into Spirits and Such Consultations.

For those who need a refresher on who Katsuya Serizawa is – he’s a powerful Esper and was one of the major members of Claw. Because he suffered from anxiety he used to stay in his room and never went outside because his psychic powers would become uncontrollable.

This changed when Touchiro went to his room and gave him an umbrella so that he could go outside while still feeling like he was safely “inside”. The umbrella became his main weapon and he was later appointed to be one of the Ultimate 5 Members. After the Claw World Domination Arc he joins up with Mob and Reigen.

Meanwhile, the giant broccoli tree, which was created by Mob’s powers, towers over the city center and has become revered as a “divine tree” by the city’s citizens. The Psycho Helmet cult begins to gain popularity and around this time Ekubo mysterious disappears. All signs point to something fishy going on within the broccoli tree making Mob head out to investigate.

That decision means that some of the cast members will be different from the previous two seasons.
