What is the plot of Mob Psycho 100 III Episode 5?
The episode will begin with Mob entering the Divine Tree and discovering that Teru has been captured by Psycho Helmet. But not only that, Mob’s suspicions are confirmed when he realizes that Psycho Helmet is none other than Ekubo, who has been given form due to the Divine Tree.
Ekubo tries to convince Mob to join the Psycho Helmet cult as its second leader and also explains that Mob’s friends now live in a different world than him. Ekubo tries to assure Mob that belief in Psycho Helmet has brought everyone happiness and that he has become a god now. On the other hand, Mob disagrees with what Ekubo is saying and tells him to undo everyone’s brainwashing.
That’s when a brainwashed Teru begins to defend Ekubo’s actions and tries to convince Mob that what Ekubo is doing isn’t evil. When Mob still isn’t convinced and attacks Psycho Helmet, Teru declares that he will have to defeat Mob.
Ekubo lends Teru some of his newly acquired divine power in order to make Teru stronger and more of a match for Mob. Mob and Teru have a fierce battle, but ultimately Mob wins.
Ekubo is forced to finally face Mob on his own and creates several Psycho Helmet puppets for Mob to contend with and shows other new powers. As the fight drags on the Divine Tree is draining Mob’s power. Will Mob have enough energy left to defeat Ekubo? And what will Ekubo do when he suddenly sees Mob’s tacky monkey shirt? Will he say something that will set Mob off 100%? We’ll have to wait until Episode 5 in order to find out.
What is the plot of Mob Psycho 100 III?
The story will explore new developments in Mob’s everyday life of going to school and his part-time job as an exorcist. Mob, Aratake Reigen, and the newest member of their team, Katsuya Serizawa, deal with the bizarre requests that come into Spirits and Such Consultations.
For those who need a refresher on who Katsuya Serizawa is – he’s a powerful Esper and was one of the major members of Claw. Because he suffered from anxiety he used to stay in his room and never went outside because his psychic powers would become uncontrollable. This changed when Touchiro went to his room and gave him an umbrella so that he could go outside while still feeling like he was safe “inside”. The umbrella became his main weapon and he was later appointed to be one of the Ultimate 5 Members. After the Claw World Domination Arc, he joins up with Mob and Reigen.
Meanwhile, the giant broccoli tree, which was created by Mob’s powers, towers over the city center and has become revered as a “divine tree” by the city’s citizens. The Psycho Helmet cult begins to gain popularity and around this time Ekubo mysteriously disappears. All signs point to something fishy going on within the broccoli tree making Mob head out to investigate.
