My Hero Academia is returning for Season 6 as part of the Fall 2022 anime schedule, and the show is promoting just how long it’ll be around this season with its episode cours for the Fall!

The sixth season of the series is revving up to tackle one of the most prolonged and most dramatic fights from Kohei Horikoshi’s original manga series to date. Fans have raised a slew of questions about what we can expect from the following season, given how Season 5 approached adapting the order of the arcs leading up to this massive fight in a divisive manner.

My Hero Academia season 6 episode count

With such a long runway required for the series’ next arc, My Hero Academia Season 6 has officially revealed that it will run for two consecutive seasons.

While no specific episode count is given, this indicates that we will see either 24 or 25 episodes for the season, which will run through Fall 2022 and Winter 2023 until the Spring season begins next April 2023. We’ll have plenty of time to not just investigate the upcoming battle but perhaps potentially go beyond it by the time everything is said and done.

Season 6 of My Hero Academia will adapt the manga’s Paranormal Liberation War Arc; the season’s teaser teases the upcoming violent struggle and shows characters on both sides prepping for the inevitable confrontation.

While the next storyline is one of the most serious and heartbreaking in the series, fans can still enjoy My Hero Academia’s more comic side. Crunchyroll recently released two new OVAs that tell what happened during the students’ work study.

My Hero Academia season 6 release date and more

My Hero Academia Season 6 will premiere in Japan on October 1, 2022, and Crunchyroll will stream the new season with its release for fans in other countries.

The previous five seasons’ personnel and cast will return for the latest episodes. The opening theme for the show is titled “Hitamuki,” sung by SUPER BEAVER, while the new ending theme is titled “SKETCH,” performed by Kiro Akiyama.

Crunchyroll is also now streaming the first five seasons of the series.

In July 2014, Kohei Horikoshi started the publication of his immensely successful manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and the series has so far created 35 volumes.

My Hero Academia takes place in a world where 80% of the population possesses a superpower known as a Quirk, and people work as Pro Heroes to arrest criminals and villains. The plot revolves around Izuku Midoriya, a high school student who aspires to be a great hero like his idol All Might despite being born without a Quirk. My Hero Academia is one of the best-selling manga series of all time, having sold over 65 million copies worldwide.
