Ufotable has released new Nezuko art in tandem with the Blu-ray release of Demon Slayer Season 2 of the anime.
The series is gearing up for its Japanese home media release with some furious new Nezuko Kamado art!
The second season of the anime brought to life the Entertainment District arc of Koyoharu Gotouge‘s unique manga series.
Viewers witnessed how the struggle against the first true Upper-Rank demon tested Tanjiro Kamado and others more than ever before. This was especially true for Nezuko, who was pushed to the point where she delved into a whole different level of demonic power.
New Nezuko art
Nezuko’s body transformed into a stronger version of her demonic strength during the Entertainment District arc. She revealed a whole new personal dimension of herself. Although it provided her with an unexpected gain in strength and speed, allowing her to fight on par with Daki and recuperate from her injuries at a far faster rate.
Her change also caused a loss of her conscious awareness and the control she was also able to keep. The forthcoming Blu-ray release in Japan has put this new Nezuko appearance front and center, along with some fantastic new imagery. You can see it below:
The first members of the Upper Moons were officially introduced to Tanjiro (and fans) in the Entertainment District arc.
They are confirmed to be the major threats for the rest of the story moving forward. Thankfully, it was immediately revealed that Demon Slayer will return for a third season with the second season’s finale episode.
The new season’s exact release date has yet to be determined, however, it has been revealed that the new episodes will begin with the next major arc from the manga, Swordsmith Village Arc.
Demon Slayer season 3 predictions
Given the positive response to season two, fans anticipate the release of a third season shortly. With only two seasons under its belt, viewers are unsure when Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 will be released and whether some of the future story arcs will be adapted into Demon Slayer Movie 2.
After all, that’s how season one ended. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train’s success is undeniable. The film is indeed the top-grossing in Japan to date, and Tanjiro contributed to it becoming the highest-grossing anime film in the world.
