Pokemon‘s final returning champions are hyped in a newly released poster by a popular Japanese magazine.
Pokémon Journeys is bringing back some major players in the world’s coronation series. This exciting news came from the release of special new posters in Japan. This hyped up the final return of these champions, Steven and Alain. They are also set to partake in the final tournament.
The series is preparing for its last climatic tournament which will include the best players participating from around the world. Ash Ketchum will battle many players who he has previously matched in the Pokemon series as he moves up the ranks in the tournament.
Pokemon’s final returning champions in the tournament
The Master class of the world coronation series finally includes Ash as one of the members of the Masters eight in the recent episode. This group consists of the eight best Pokémon Trainers in the world. Some returning champions will also be included and were hinted at with the release of the new posters in Japan by Pash Magazine.
We saw Steven and Alain with their Pokémon as part of the final lineup for the tournament. Also, other hinted players include Leon as the Monarch, Cynthia in Rank two, and Lance in Rank 4.
Alain and Steven will be making their return to the anime ranked as the sixth and third trainers of the master class. Steven will be representing Hoenn as Hoenn’s champion. However, Alain’s return is still under speculation as he will not be representing Kalos as Kalos’ champion. This is because this position is already occupied by Dianthe who is ranked fifth in the Master Class. Alain being the only non-champion in the tournament is an unexpected turn in the series. However, excitement brews among fans as Ash and Alain might get their much-awaited rematch.
Pokemon Journeys World Coronation Series
The Pokémon Journeys’ new iteration has been the most exciting in the series as it had seen Ash traveling the world. He does this with his newest companion Goh. As he travels, he gets to meet old friends and battle old opponents. He also explores every last region introduced to the anime so far.
The final tournament is no exception as Ash is reintroduced to old champions while moving up the rank. The tournament is divided into four ranks; Normal Class, Great Class, Ultra Class, and Master Class. Furthermore, Trainers will start from the Normal class irrespective of their skills and move up to compete with other trainers In higher ranks as they advance in the competition.
The top eight trainers of the Master Class will compete in a final tournament and the winner will be awarded the title of “Monarch”. Leon holds the current title of Monarch, he is the Pokémon Champion of Galar. Ash decides to compete in the World Coronation Series in the hopes of earning an official rematch battle with Leon to help him achieve more in his goal to become a Pokémon Master.
