Readers are expressing their excitement about the return of One Piece manga this week. After all, the show has been absent for a month at this point, and its creator, Eiichiro Oda, is prepared to launch the series’ final arc.

Of course, that means that viewers are closely following the show and whatever the creator has planned for Luffy and his crew. Additionally, a preview of the last arc, which promises the return of the red-haired Shanks, has been revealed to the fans.

The return of Shanks to the One Piece manga

As the popular manga series comes to a close, well-known characters are making a comeback, including Shanks, Luffy’s childhood friend and hero, who has made an appearance in the preview of the One Piece manga final arc.

Despite being a key character in the show, Shanks only occasionally makes an appearance. However, the latest promotion for the One Piece manga final arc implies that he will appear again in subsequent chapters.

After a month-long break, the first chapter of the final arc will be published on July 25, 2022. This will signal the start of the end for the cherished, 1000+ chapter series.

The Red Hair Pirates’ captain, Shanks, served as Luffy’s early inspiration. In order for Luffy to achieve his goal of becoming the Pirate King, Shanks acts as the drive. When he was younger, Luffy admired Shanks and wanted to join him and his crew as pirates.

In addition, Shanks gave Luffy his recognizable straw hat with the understanding that he would give it back to him when they next crossed paths. Since Luffy was a young child, Shanks and Luffy have not actually reconnected. Shanks is without a doubt an essential character in the series, but it is unclear if and when Luffy will return his hat to its proper owner.

The expected end of the One Piece manga

Oda has expressed to fans his desire to wrap up One Piece in no more than three years. The update was provided by Oda personally, who conducted a joint interview with Detective Conan’s creator for Shueisha. There, Oda stated that he has made too many guesses in the past to be taken seriously any longer and that he is unsure of when One Piece would be finished. Oda believes three years should be sufficient, though, if he had to say.

One Piece has sold about 500 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling manga franchise of all time. The series, which now has over 1000 episodes, debuted in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997, and an anime adaptation came out in 1999. The show has received accolades for its endearing characters, outrageous humor, and exciting, action-packed plot. One Piece is one of the most prolific anime series ever created because both the manga and anime are still being produced.

Publisher VIZ Media offers English versions of Oda’s manga. Currently, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Funimation, and Crunchyroll all provide One Piece anime streaming. Currently being produced at Netflix is a live-action manga series.
