On July 15, 2022, the official Twitter account for Spy Classroom released a new key visual hyping the upcoming anime TV series adaptation by Studio Feel that is set to premiere in 2023.
The announcement that the light novel series Spy Classroom would be getting a TV series adaptation was announced during the Fantasia Bunko Online Festival 2022 event, which took place on March 13, 2022.
Keiichiro Kawaguchi will direct the series with the series’ script written by Shinichi Inotsume, and character designs by Sumie Kinoshita.

What is the plot of Spy Classroom?
The story takes place in a world where wars are fought with spies. With a mission success rate of 100%, the remarkable yet eccentric spy, Klaus, is tasked with a mission by the agency. Unfortunately, the mission has a 90% chance of failure, and for some reason the agency is making him recruit seven inexperience girls!
Where can I read the original light novel and manga adaptation?
Spy Classroom, also known as Spy Room, is a Japanese light novel series written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari. In January 2020, the first volume was published by Fujimi Shobo under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. Seven main series volumes and two short story volumes have been released as of March 2022.
In January 2021, the English version of the light novel series was licensed by Yen Press for release in North America.
Between May 2020 and April 2022, a manga adaptation with illustrations by Kaname Seu was serialized in Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine. The manga’s chapters have been collected into two tankobon volumes as of August 2021.
In June 2022, a second part of the manga by Benishake and a third part by Seu both began serialization in the same magazine. Yen Press will be publishing the first part of the manga’s adaptation in English.

The trailer begins with a narration by the spy Klaus: “The world is full of pain. The world war has ended on the surface and the information war by spies has started in present day.”
After that we see Klaus talking to the girls he’s recruited to become spies and we learn their code names are as follows: Flower Garden, Pandemonium, Glint, Dreamspeaker, Dearest Daughter, Meadow, and Forgetter.
