On September 1, 2022, Netflix Anime’s official YouTube channel released a 6-minute long video to get anime fans, who are interested in watching JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean (Part 2 currently streaming on Netflix), up to speed with everything they need to know about the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Universe.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has five previous parts, and newcomers to part six, Stone Ocean, are asking, “What is a Stand?” and “Who is JoJo?” What they should really be asking is: “Who are the JoJos?”

The JoJos are the descendants of the Joestar Family and each part of the story centers on one JoJo in particular, starting with Jonathan Joestar in Part 1 Phantom Blood. The video goes on to explain who all the other JoJos are, and finally reveals what Jotaro Kujo’s relationship is to our first female JoJo – Jolyne. The video also explains what Stands are and even explains who the main villain, Dio, is.
