The Quintessential Quintuplets‘ first feature film has enjoyed a very successful run in theaters abroad, and to commemorate this, the movie has unveiled a brand-new poster!

The second season continued to adapt the original manga series by Negi Haruba and the ending revealed that the anime series would continue with a standalone film. The Quintessential Quintuplets’ new movie poster

The first full-length movie starring The Quintessential Quintuplets was released in Japanese theaters earlier in the spring of 2022, and it has been doing well ever since, consistently ranking in the top ten at international box offices. In fact, it has been performing so well that The Quintessential Quintuplets is preparing for a new push through the theaters.

Starting on July 29, 2022, the movie will be returning to over 90 cinemas in the area. Check out the latest poster for The Quintessential Quintuplets movie on Pony Canyon’s official Twitter account shared to help celebrate the success of the new film and its upcoming Summer release:

As of the time of writing, the new Quintessential Quintuplets film has not announced any plans for official international distribution, but considering its success in Japan, it is very probable that we will finally witness this grand climax in some way. Although it might not happen this year, a good probability exists that it will.

You can now watch the series on Crunchyroll if you wanted to see its two seasons in full.

The Quintessential Quintuplets plot and more

In the series, Futaro Uesugi, a young man who succeeds academically but is utterly terrible at gaining both money and friends, relates the story. Uesugi, who is in severe need of money, accepts the position of a tutor for the wealthy Nakano family and their five identical quintuplet daughters: the kindhearted Ichika, the irritable Nino, the reserved Miku, the exuberant Yotsuba, and last but not least, the stern Itsuki Nakano.

The plot hooks readers and viewers by quickly revealing that Uesugi is wed to one of the quintuplets in the future and keeps them guessing as to which of the sisters he ultimately chooses throughout the narrative.

After the 2020 conclusion of the Quintuplets manga’s romantic guessing game, Negi Haruba the manga’s author began work on a new comic book series called Go, Go, Loser Ranger!, a spoof of Japanese tokusatsu (masked hero) programs like Power Rangers and Kamen Rider.

Due to Haruba’s unidentified health issue, the comedy series was regrettably put on indefinite hold in September 2021. The manga’s publication has not yet resumed.
