What is the plot of The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh?
The story centers on a young man named Tristan, who is the son of Meliodas and Elizabeth. Tristan inherits the power of the Goddess Clan and is able to heal people’s wounds and injuries. However, due to his inability to control his Demon Clan powers, he ends up hurting others, but not on purpose.
When a powerful curse befalls Tristan’s mother Elizabeth, he sets out on a quest to Edinburgh Castle and encounters individuals whom he befriends along the way, including a mysterious male fairy who may have ties to King and Diane.
Other possible allies include the wimpy, green-haired fairy Tyrone, the pig-tailed fairy Kurumiru, and the giant girl Minika.
Once Tristan and his new allies reach Edinburgh they will have to face off against Deathpiece and his allies who wish to create a human-only city and harbor resentment toward Demons and the Goddess Clan.
Tristan Liones eventually becomes a Holy Knight and one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse. It’s hard to say if the events, which occur in The Four Knights of the Apocalypse spin-off manga, happen before or after the events in Grudge of Edinburgh.
If the film is set after the events in The Four Knights of the Apocalypse it is likely the other members, including Ban and Elaine’s son Lancelot, the female knight Gawain, and Ironside’s son Percival will join Tristan in his quest to Edinburgh, and help him to defeat Deathpierce and stop whatever it is he’s scheming.
It has been prophesized that the Four Knights of the Apocalypse, a group of four Holy Knights, will appear and bring destruction to the world and lead King Arthur of Camelot to his doom. Will this prophecy come into play in the movie Grudge of Edinburgh? We’ll have to wait until December 20, 2022, to find out!
