On August 6, 2022, during Crunchyroll Expo 2022, Crunchyroll announced that Tower of God 2nd Season is officially in production and released a trailer on its official YouTube channel.

The trailer highlights Rachel’s betrayal of Bam, but we see that he has a mysterious rescuer. How will this event affect Bam in the future? Will he remain friends with his past allies or will he be forced to serve a new master? Rachel is seen betraying Bam repeatedly, but her true motives behind wanting to climb the tower aren’t yet revealed.

Webtoon readers, such as myself, know that Tower of God Season 1 was really just a prologue and that the real story starts now. Bam will gain new god-like powers, and make new friends and powerful enemies. He’ll adopt a completely new identity as Jue Viole Grace when FUG forcibly recruits him.

A lot of people will die. “Tower of Betrayal” will be no walk in the park. The hype for Tower of God Season 2 is real!

A new key visual that was released shows Bam’s long hair style, which means the anime is likely to show the events all the way up until he meets Ja Wangnan – the blonde-haired boy seen in the visual, who becomes a close friend and ally of Bam. What is Wangnan’s mysterious connection to Karakas (a FUG slayer)?

It’s feels like Tower of God Season 1 just came out yesterday, and now my fans will get to watch more of the story in Season 2. I’m very grateful to the production staff for bringing my manhwa to life and this couldn’t have been done without the readers’ support. I can’t wait to see how Season 2 will turn out but I have high hopes. I want to thank my fans and readers for their continued support!

What is the plot of Tower of God?

Tower of God centers on a boy named Twenty-Fifth Bam. (The name “Bam” means “Night” or “Chestnut” in Korean). Bam lives many years in a strange, underground, cavernous place without any other people until he suddenly encounters a young girl named Rachel. Rachel informs him that he’s been living beneath a vast and mysterious Tower, and befriends Bam.

Due to the fact that Bam has never had any other human interaction Rachel becomes more than just a friend to him – she is a mother figure, a sister figure and a best friend. She is the only “family” Bam has ever known. Rachel means everything to Bam, and when she reveals that she is going to leave him in order to attempt to climb the Tower in order to have a certain wish granted, he is devastated.

Bam decides he will do whatever it takes to follow after Rachel and manages to find a way into the Tower. Bam is determined to see Rachel again even if it means dying.
