What is the plot of Unnamed Memory?

The story is set in a medieval fantasy world where there are only five witches left and thus possess absolute power. The Witch of the Forest, the Witch of Water, the Unnamed Witch, the Witch of Silence, and the Witch of the Azure Moon are feared by all, and have selfishly used their powers without restraint for thousands of years.

The five witches are known for leaving fear, dread, calamity, and misfortune in their wake. The strongest witch among them is known as the Witch of the Azure Moon, and she lives at the top of a tall tower deep in the wilderness. The tower is filled with countless traps that are viewed as a test by heroes and adventurers.

Legend has it that if one is able to overcome the traps and reach the top of the tower the Witch of the Azure Moon will grant any one wish. Those who challenged the tower came from far and wide but never returned.

The story begins when Oscar, who is a member of the royal family of Farseth, sets out on a journey to the tower along with his trusty attendant Razel. Oscar enters the tower and encounters various traps, including snakes, a lion, griffin statues, and more. Oscar is able to overcome every trap, however, Razel falls to his death at one point.

Disheartened by the loss of her servant, Oscar emotionlessly continues his way up to the tower until he finally reaches the top and encounters the Witch of the Azure Moon. The unexpectedly beautiful Tinasha reveals that Razel is still alive. She designed the tower so that just before someone is about to get a fatal wound they’re transported to the first floor of the tower since she doesn’t like dead bodies.

Oscar realizes that there may be more to this witch than first meets the eye. He also discovers that the people who disappeared after having challenged the tower had their memories wiped and were sent far away.

Oscar reveals he’s been searching for a way to break a curse on the royal family. Fifteen years ago, the Witch of Silence cursed Oscar’s father and him so they’d be unable to have children. If he sleeps with a woman he will cause her to be infertile. For years the family searched for a way to break the curse to no avail. Oscar trained as a prince, learned how to fight, and studied hard.

When Oscar realizes that the curse wouldn’t affect Tinasha he says that as his one wish he wants Tina to leave the tower and become his wife. Tina refuses at first, but Oscar convinces her to live with him for a year at his castle instead. During that one year, he plans to win Tina’s heart.
