Violet Evergarden anime story summary
Violet Evergarden is a contemporary coming-of-age anime series produced by Kyoto Animation, a prominent Japanese animation company. It was released on Netflix globally in 2018.
It is based on Kana Akatsuki’s light novel series of the same name, which was written and drawn by Akiko Takase.
In 2018, 13 episodes of the anime series were shown, and in 2019, the first spin-off anime feature Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll was produced. In addition, Violet Evergarden: The Movie, the follow-up anime film, was well received by fans in 2020.
Violet Evergarden movie: A touching finale
Violet Evergarden The movie serves as a lovely conclusion to the series. It can also serve as a moving narrative for novices to the series, but it isn’t without flaws.
This new feature-length film serves as the conclusion to the previous television series. Viewers will be able to catch up on what happened in the past while also getting a glimpse into the world of automatic dolls. These dolls can be used as both military tools and tools to positively impact the lives of those around them.
The feature-length story does a good job of weaving flashbacks into the film without having it feel forced or shoe-horned in. This makes it easy for new fans of the franchise to get their brains around it.
While there are a few characters that fans of the franchise may feel don’t receive enough screen time, the final chapter manages to create a dramatic plot. This plot effectively employs the bulk of characters while also rewarding fans of the series for watching the original episodes.
Violet Evergarden The Film is a homage to anime lovers. It does an amazing job of appeasing both long-time fans and novices to the series.
Even though it is a little rough around the edges, it is a film that is well worth your time, whether you are familiar with the series or not.
