Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 3’s premiere was on October 8, 2022, and the franchise’s fans are filled with questions about the appearance of the pink-haired, delinquent-like Barbatos Bachiko, who will end up being Iruma’s special tutor.

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 3 Episode 1 opened with the Misfit Class acting like celebrities due to their actions in Walter Park gaining them even more recognition. Kalego informs the Misfit Class that the Harvest Festival and Musical Festival are coming up, and that in order to keep the privilege of using the special classroom Royal One they will have to reach rank Dalet before becoming a second-year student.

To help the students achieve this crazy goal they have been assigned special tutors, which were seen in the anime for the very first time: the merciless General Furfur, the cry-baby Vepar, the sexy Raim, the gentlemanly Mr. Hat, the ferocious Balam, and the hyperactive Robin.

The special tutors each have a plan for their students: Furfur plans to turn Jazz M. Andro and Schneider Allocer into the craftiest first-years who will never lose, Vepar plans to turn Goemon Garp and Picero Agares into the first-years with the most advanced blood-line abilities, Raim plans to turn Clara Valac and Elizabetta Ix into the most charming and sexy first-years, Mr. Hat plans to turn Keroli Crocell and Kamui Caim into the most-skilled summoners, and Balam plans to turn Sabro Sabnock and Alice Asmodeus into the most powerful first-year students.

As for Robin’s plan – he wants to ignite fighting spirit in Iruma and Lied, and see where things go from there. This half-hearted training immediately worries Iruma and Lied, and they believe they’ve drawn the short end of the stick when it comes to their special tutor until Robin introduces them to his relative – Barbatos Bachiko.

Bachiko sassily tells Iruma and Lied that if she feels like their mentor she will agree to teach them. Immediately, Bachiko makes Iruma and Lied run a bunch of bizarre errands (including dressing up like a maid!) for her, but is there a method to her madness? Never fear, Bachiko is just testing their will, and as long as they don’t break she will agree to train him. Eventually.

Barbatos Bachiko becomes one of the prestigious professors at Babyls Academy – a school in the demon world. She is also a candidate for a seat on the 13 Crowns, who are the “heroes” and most powerful demons of the demon world.

Bachiko’s unique bloodline magic is called Full Marks (One Hundred Shots, One Hundred Hits), which enables her to manifest a bow and fire up to 100 magic arrows simultaneously. Her arrows always hit their target without fail, regardless of distance or interference. Robin has a similar archery skill, which he exhibits later on.

Bachiko is one of only three people in the Barbatos family who can fire 100 arrows in one go using her ability. Most demons lack the patience to be able to focus on aiming and firing an arrow, and outside of the Barbatos family, archery is nearly impossible for demons.

This is where Iruma comes in. Due to the fact that Iruma is in fact a human and not a demon, he naturally has the patience and grit needed to learn and excel at archery. When Bachiko realizes Iruma’s potential she immediately makes him her apprentice and teaches him archery. Due to her “delinquent” attitude, Iruma’s training isn’t easy, however.

At first, Bachiko calls Iruma an “idiot” for going along with all the ridiculous demands and chores she has him do, but when she begins to train him in archery she grudgingly begins to respect him as he demonstrates his ability and his extraordinary patience.

Will Bachiko get Iruma ready in time to compete against his other classmates in gathering ingredients in a deadly demonic jungle during the Harvest Festival?
