The Akiba Maid War anime trailer is showing off a new original story by Cygames and Studio P.A. Works.
If you like learning about Japanese culture, then you know Maid cafes are trendy, and Akiba Maid War has maids. We don’t know much about the plot, but it has two cute girls in maid outfits in the teaser image, so it’s bound to be good.
What is Akiba Maid War?
Akiba Maid War is an anime original by Cygames and P. A. Works. Most of the plot is still unknown, but Nagomi Kazuhira has come to Tokyo to become a maid in Japan’s cosplay cafe center Akihabara. At the same time, Ranko Kazutoshi is an ex-maid who decides to return to the maid scene.
The teaser image shows the girls are passing out flyers, so perhaps the war is between businesses? The website has revealed some names involved with Akiba Maid War.
Reina Kondo will voice Nagomi and Rina Satou is Ranko. Soichi Masui is the director, Yoshihiro Hiki is the script composer, Manabu Nii designs the characters, and Yoshihiro Ike is in charge of the music.
Who are Cygames and P. A. Works?
Cygames Inc is a Japanese video game development studio founded in 2011. In 2016 Cygames established an anime studio, CygamesPictures.
The company has also begun funding anime for its mobile properties, new projects, and anime adaptations. In addition, Cygames has also entered the manga, music, and design market during the same period.
P. A. Works has undergone two name changes since Kenji Horikawa founded it. On November 10, 2000, it was called P. A. Works Corporation; in 2002, it was renamed Progressive Animation Works or P. A. Works for short.
The main office is Toyama Prefecture and focuses on drawings, digital photography, production, and direction. P. A. Works is also involved with video games and has worked with Cygames to produce the Uma Musume Pretty Derby anime.
