November 4, 2022, will mark an exciting day for Bleach fans, as the English dub of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode 1 will air on Hulu! Like many, my first experience with Bleach came with the dub, although I don’t mind reading subtitles.

There’s something special about hearing the voices you grew up with after over ten years! Sadly, we don’t have all the names revealed, but long-term fans will rejoice as our main cast returns to their signature roles!

Who is coming back to Bleach?

Whether you prefer sub or dub, VIZ Media has shared a video on YouTube with Ichigo’s English and Japanese Voice actors. And the interaction between them is hilarious. You can feel their love for Bleach and Ichigo and their respect for each other.

Hopefully, VIZ Media will add more videos like this with the other members of the Bleach cast. But if you haven’t seen the English dub, here is a list of who we know is coming back from the original dub cast.

  • Johnny Yong Bosch is Ichigo Kurosaki
  • Michelle Ruff is Rukia Kuchiki
  • Derek Stephen Prince is Uryu Ishida
  • Stephanie Sheh is Orihime Inoue
  • Wally Wingert is Renji Abarai
  • Doug Erholtz is Kisuke Urahara

The thrill of being a manga reader!

I haven’t been able to watch any of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, much to my friend’s amusement. However, they love to tease me about how great the new season is, and I can’t wait to watch it for myself!

But if they get too annoying, I start to pull out my Bleach manga, which usually ends up in my favor. So I’m not spoiling anything just by reading my manga in front of them.

It’s not my fault if they move close enough to read the synopsis and see the cover art. I’m as big a fan of Bleach as anyone else!

And there could be differences between anime and manga. But it makes me smile to hear them come up with theories, and I know what happens next.

I’ll look forward to Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War being available on Blu-Ray and DVD. I have most of the anime in several box sets in my room, and I’ll gladly rearrange everything to make room for one more!
