Where can we watch it?

The UK, USA, and Canada will each have a special two-day run for the screenings. Those who live in Australia will get a week!

  • The United Kingdom — on September 21-22. Tickets go on sale on September 16, 2022.
  • The United States — on September 27-28. Advanced tickets are already available for North America.
  • Canada — on September 29 and October 1.
  • Australia begins on September 29, and tickets go on sale on September 14.

The film will be available in sub and dub formats for the first time! Many say that the film is an adaptation of the 15th episode of the original Mobile Suite Gundam series.

However, in an interview published in the December 2021 issue of Gundam Ace, a monthly magazine focused on the Gundam series. Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the director of Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island, stated that the manga was why this movie began.

Do you need to watch or read Mobile Suit Gundam to understand the film?

Despite it existing in the original Mobile Suit Gundam universe, having a basic understanding of the universe will suffice. Namely, two or more forces, usually Earth vs. The Colonies, and their battles using giant robot suits and other vehicles.

Some entries deal more with the pilots doing everyday things, while others take a pure, stay in the cockpit, and maybe you get some fresh air. There’s even an anime where the Gundams are the size of humans and are alive!

The official synopsis is: “After a covert mission goes awry, Amuro Ray, Gundam Pilot, and his friends are stranded on a remote island.”

The battalion was sent to the Island of No Return to clear out any enemy forces. Only to find a group of children and an enemy mecha attacks, Amuro must find a way to escape the island.

But not before he meets the mysterious Cucuruz Doan!
