The Dark Gathering anime release date is in the Summer 2023 anime season. The exact release date is yet to be announced.
The anime was first announced back in July 2023, and a teaser trailer was released revealing its main staff and a 2023 premiere.
To corroborate the Summer 2023 premiere announcement, a trailer PV and a key visual (see below) were also released.
The trailer gives a glimpse into the premise of the show and reveals the main cast and more staff members.

The main cast of Dark Gathering anime includes:
- Yu Sasahara (Emilico in Shadows House) as Yayoi Hozuki
- Nobunaga Shimazaki (Shinichi Izumi in Parasyte: The Maxim) as Keitaro Gentoga
- Kana Hanazawa (Kanade Tachibana in Angel Beats!) as Eiko Hozuki
Hiroshi Ikehata (best known for directing TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You) is directing the Dark Gathering anime at studio OLM. Shigeru Murakoshi (Zombieland Saga) is in charge of the series composition. Shinya Segawa is designing the characters. Kohta Yamamoto, Shun Narita, and Yusuke Ceo are composing the music.

More about Dark Gathering
Dark Gathering is an upcoming anime based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Kenichi Kondo.
The manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine since March 2019. Shueisha has compiled its chapters into ten tankobon volumes to date. Volume 11 of Dark Gathering manga is set to release on December 2, 2022.
Viz has licensed the series for English publication.
Dark Gathering follows Keitaro Gentoga, a first-year university student who, unfortunately, has a knack for attracting spirits. Due to this, something happened two years ago which made him a shut-in.
Keitaro wants to improve his poor social skills, so he becomes a tutor for his friend Eiko Hozuki’s cousin — Yayoi Hozuki. Now Keitaro has to face spirits once again because his student is hunting down spirits to find the one that took her mom away.
