Fate/strange Fake release date delayed to Summer 2023 [PV Trailer]

The Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn- release date has been delayed to July 2023, the Summer 2023 anime season.

The Fate/strange Fake release date was originally scheduled for December 31, 2022. On that day, a Fate/strange Fake PV trailer announced that the anime had been rescheduled to later in 2023.

Fate/strange Fake anime is a famous spin-off that began as a 2008 April Fool’s Day joke picturing what a Holy Grail War may look like in the United States, but it’s referred to as “fake” since it includes many notable features that Americans get wrong for their version. Despite starting as a quirky joke, it quickly became the actual thing with its own supporters.

However, a new generation of fans will soon be able to check out this new take on the series.

The spin-off series, originally created by Baccano!! Series creator Ryogo Narita has been such a hit with fans for its out-of-the-box perspective on the long-running franchise that it is now preparing to launch its anime.

Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn- was announced at the Aniplex Online Fest 2022 event. It was originally planned for the TV anime series to premiere on December 31st with a special animation that will be released globally at the same time in different languages.

The story for the anime TV series is based on the Fate/strange Fake manga and light novel series created by TYPE-MOON, author Ryohgo Narita, and illustrator Shidzuki Morii. Started in January 2015, the Fate/strange Fake manga series is still ongoing.

Similarly, the story in the light novel version is up to Fate/strange Fake Volume 8 as of Winter 2023. It’s unknown if this book will be the final volume in the series and whether the anime will adapt the entire story in one season or if there will be a Fate/strange Fake Season 2.

As of this writing, Fate/strange Fake has yet to receive an official English language release for the light novel and manga, so many fans of the original series will be able to enjoy the spin-off series for the first time. It was originally depicted as an American variation on the Holy Grail War depicted in many other Fate spin-offs. It will most likely be drastically different from anything fans have seen thus far.

The Fate/strange Fake anime will be released in Japanese with English subtitles. The first additions to the Japanese voice cast are Kana Hanazawa as Ayaka Sajyo, Yuki Ono as Saber, Tomokazu Seki as Archer, and Yu Kobayashi as Lancer.

There will also be a Fate/strange Fake English dub by Aniplex of America. The Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn- English dub release date is apparently still planned to come out on the same day Among the English voice actors is Anjali Kunapaneni as Ayaka Sajyo, Ben Balmaceda as Saber, David Vincent as Archer, and Marin Miller as Lancer.

The first members of the primary staff have also been announced, with Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume leading the special episode for Studio A-1 Pictures, which is best known in recent times for producing popular anime such as Sword Art Online, Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Lycoris Recoil, Solo Leveling, and Mashle.
