Katsumi Fukuhara, the voice behind Kikuru says that all anime characters are interesting, so he ended up buying all manga volumes. He is worried about Kikuru reaching his goal but is optimistic nevertheless.

Karin Isobe, the voice behind Hitamu, says that all manga characters have a unique personality and are free-spirited. The more she reads the manga series, the more addicted she gets. The mangaka is apparently happy about her being cast as Hitamu as he thinks she is a perfect fit for the role.

About the Futoku no Guild manga series

Futoku no Guild is a manga series by Taichi Kawazoe. It began in June 2017 and is still ongoing. The manga is being serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Shōnen Gangan. The chapters have been collected into nine tankōbon volumes.

The plot follows Kikuru Madan, a monster hunter with an identity crisis. He is the guild’s best monster hunter, the title he earned by training relentlessly. However, his hard work has left him completely inexperienced in dating, which frustrates him to no end.

Kikuru is, hence, uncertain about his life choices and is tempted to quit his profession as more and more of his friends are getting married. His musings are interrupted by a job offer; namely, he is tasked by the guild with tutoring Hitamu Kyan, a martial artist by vocation.

Kikuru thereupon decides to make Hitamu his successor before retiring. However, his plan is soon shattered because Hitamu is a total newbie.
