Giant Beasts of Ars anime release date is on January 6, 2023, in the Winter 2023 anime season.

The anime will air on MBS/TBS affiliated 28 stations nationwide in Japan at the “Super Animeism” frame on January 6, AT-X on January 9, and BS NTV on January 10. HIDIVE will stream the anime in North America.

Known in Japan as Ars no Kyojuu, Giant Beasts of Ars is an original story by DMM Pictures x Asahi Productions.

The anime was first announced in September 2022, with a teaser trailer and visual revealing the main cast and staff.

A 30-second commercial for the anime was aired to corroborate the premiere date announcement. The commercial reveals and previews the opening and ending theme songs of the anime.

The Giant Beasts of Ars OP theme song is — “Hengen Jizai” (ever-changing), performed by the five-member Japanese rock band PENGUIN RESEARCH.

The ED theme song of Giant Beasts of Ars is — “Na mo Nai Hana” (Flower with No Name), performed by singer-songwriter Harumi.

What is the anime about?

The premise of Giant Beasts of Ars is set in a world where giant beasts are rampant and cause great damage. The story starts as Jiiro, a giant beast hunter, meets Kuumi, who is being chased by someone, and helps her by forming a pact with her.

Jiiro and his friends then start to uncover the secrets of this magical world.

Cast of Giant Beasts of Ars

The main cast of the anime includes:

  • Hina Yomiya (Ginny Fin de Salvan in Shijou Saikyou no Daimaou, Murabito A ni Tensei suru) as Kuumi, a kind and innocent girl who escapes from a laboratory with no knowledge of her background and of the outside world.
  • Toshiyuki Morikawa (Yoshikage Kira in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable) as Jiiro, also called The Undying Jiro. He is a giant beast hunter who makes a pact with Kuumi in order to save her.
  • Yu Serizawa (Shera L. Greenwood in How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord) as Myaa, a peddler who travels the world. She sells Kuumi the ring.
  • Hiromu Mineta (Yatora Yaguchi in Blue Period) as Meran, a young warrior who runs headfirst into battle. He aspires to hone his sword skills to protect his village.
  • Yoko Hikasa (Rias Gremory in High School DxD) as Romana, a healing specialist with a strong sense of justice and a strong affection for children.
