What is I Want to Be a Wall manga about?
I Want to Be a Wall is about Yuriko, an asexual woman who loves BL stories, and Gakurouta, a gay man who has a crush on his childhood friend. Yuriko marries Gakurouta to make her parents happy, but neither of the newlyweds knows what to do in a relationship.
I Want to Be a Wall is a romcom with a fresh twist. I’ve read the first three chapters, and it’s amazing. Yuriko has a mountain of BL stories, but they’re tastefully referenced.
Gakurouta is determined to be a good husband but wants to learn more about BL. Yuriko is embarrassed to let him read the steamiest book in her collection, but that’s the start of the humor.
Yuriko’s love for BL is done tastefully. She enjoys the sight of men but doesn’t objectify them. She even wishes she could play matchmaker with Gakurouta and his crush!
According to the pixiv comics site, volume 2 is already out in Japan, and I can’t wait to read more of this series.
