The Immoral Guild Season 2 TV show will continue the debauchery in the Guild of Depravity between Kikuru Madan and Hitamu “Hitamuki” Kyan, Maidena Ange, Toxico Dannar, and Hanabata Nohkins. But when will Futoku no Guild Season 2 come out?

Anime Geek is predicting that the 2nd season will be greenlit for production if the Immoral Guild uncensored Blu-Ray volumes sell well in Japan. (Please see the release date predictions section below for more details.)

An Immoral Guild English dub release hasn’t been announced yet.

The first season’s finale, Immoral Guild Episode 12, was released on December 21, 2022.

The 12 episodes will be released as three Futoku no Guild Blu-Ray/DVD volumes on December 23, 2022, January 25, 2023, and February 22, 2023, respectively.

This article provides everything that is known about Immoral Guild Season 2 (Futoku no Guild Season 2) and all related news. As such, this article will be updated over time with news, rumors, and analysis. Meanwhile, let’s delve down into what is known for certain.

Futoku no Guild Season 2 release date predictions: Renewal likely if uncensored Blu-Ray sells well

As of the last update, Studio TNK, publishers Kadokawa or Square Enix, producer Egg Firm, or any company related to the production of the anime has not officially confirmed the Immoral Guild Season 2 release date. Nor has the production of an Immoral Guild anime sequel been announced.

Once the news is officially confirmed this article will be updated with the relevant information.

In the meantime, it’s possible to speculate about when, or if, the Futoku no Guild Season 2 release date will occur in the future.

Competitors like Redo of Healer, Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time, and Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World all harbor the conceit that the actual story and plot are more than window dressing for “the plot”. Immoral Guild does not even try since putting fantasy girls in perverse situations while the tsukkomi protagonist gets flustered is literally the plot as evidenced by the first several seconds of Futoku no Guild Episode 1.

As such, the anime is 100% pure in its debauchery and should be considered a guilty pleasure. The Immoral Guild review scores that take this reality into account all rate the anime very highly. It’s all about feeding the libido and nothing else.

There’s a good reason Crunchyroll and even HIDIVE didn’t license this anime in Fall 2022. In Japan, only TV station AT-X was streaming Futoku no Guild uncensored whereas Tokyo MX, TVA, KBS Kyoto, SUN, and BS11 were releasing the censored episodes. As such, most of the international audiences are watching Immoral Guild uncensored online.

Certainly, the lack of any international streaming revenue from a censored version on HIDIVE or Crunchyroll is a major drawback since many watchers are sailing the high seas by pirating the episodes. Thus, one of the major deciding factors for whether Immoral Guild Season 2 will be renewed is fans willingly shelling out money for the uncensored Immoral Guild Blu-Ray/DVD box sets.

The second factor is whether the anime gives a significant boost to the Immoral Guild manga sales in Japan. In September 2022, the Futoku no Guild manga had 1.2 million copies in circulation for volumes 1 through 10, including digital copies. If the anime gave a boost it wasn’t huge since the series did not make the Oricon Top 20 manga for October 2022 or November 2022.

Therefore, assuming that the Immoral Guild BD sales are good, it’s predicted that the anime production committee will have the series renewed for a 2nd season. But it’s also predicted that the wait time for the Immoral Guild Season 2 release date will be at least a couple of years.

Immoral Guild manga compared to the anime

Immoral Guild has been serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Shounen Gangan magazine since June 2017. The individual chapters have been compiled into 10 tankoubon volumes as of September 12, 2022.

North American publisher Square Enix is publishing the series’ chapters digitally in English only via the global version of its Manga UP! service. Unfortunately, that means the volumes are not available in English.

When anime adapt a manga there usually is not as much content condensing in comparison to an anime that adapts a light novel series. So it’s with no surprise that the Immoral Guild anime adaptation was fairly straightforward.

The biggest change was that Episode 11 skipped Volume 4: Chapters 21, 23, and 23. This story arc introduces the heavily armored female character Mishelly, an awkwardly shy girl who wears a fox mask even when in casual clothing. Similar to KonoSuba’s Aqua, Mishelly gets eaten by a giant toad… and as you might expect from this series Mishelly ends up showing off everything, not just her face.

Since the anime skipped the introduction of a new character that should mean Mishelly will be introduced in Immoral Guild Season 2. The reordering of the timeline also implies that the 2nd season was not planned out in advance, which is also no surprise.

All in all, as Anime Geek predicted the first season’s finale, Futoku no Guild Episode 12, found a stopping corresponding to Immoral Guild Volume 5: Chapter 27.

The good news is that the first season adapted only about half of the available source material, which means there is plenty left for making Immoral Guild Season 2.

Better yet, English-only manga readers who wish to read ahead of the anime can jump to Square Enix’s Manga UP! service. Since the anime adaptation was fairly faithful to the manga it’s recommended to just read the skipped Mishelly story arc and then jump to Volume 5: Chapter 28.

Immoral Guild Season 2 studio and staff

The main staff and studio that is making Immoral Guild Season 2 haven’t been announced yet. In the best-case scenario, the main staff will return.

Immoral Guild Season 1 was produced by Japanese animation Studio TNK, which is best known for anime such as Redo of Healer and Highschool DxD (the fourth season, Highschool DxD Hero, was animated by Studio Passione).

The first season of the anime TV series was helmed by director Takuya Asaoka. The Immoral Guild anime project was his second time as lead director since he also directed Redo of Healer. Before taking the lead on these ecchi anime, he was best known for his animation director work on Moriarty the Patriot and Fate/Apocrypha in addition to being an episode storyboard writer for Engage Kiss.

Writer Kazuyuuki Fudeyasu wrote the scripts and series composition. The writer is best known for working That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime (including the Slime Isekai movie Scarlet Bond), Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, Record of Ragnarok Season 2, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, and (with no surprise) Redo of Healer. The writer has even done wholesome original stories like Do It Yourself!!

Artist Hiraku Kaneko (Tsurezure Children director) was the character designer. Composer Ryou Shirasawa created the music.

Immoral Guild Season 2 OP and ED theme song music

The Immoral Guild Season 2 OP (opening) and ED (ending) theme song music haven’t been announced yet.

For the first season, the Immoral Guild OP “Never the Fever!!” was performed by Sayaka Sasaki, while the ED theme song “Sugar Sugar Spice” was performed by Minami Kuribayashi.

Let’s just hope the wait for the Immoral Guild Season 2 release date isn’t too long. Stay tuned!
