If you’ve been an anime fan for any length of time, then odds are you know the names in the title. Especially if you watch Spy x Family, Attack on Titan, Naruto, and Demon Slayer.

These four companies are giants in the anime industry, and they’re working together to change things in a big way. Everyone hopes that they will succeed because, without animators, you don’t have anime.

Because without directors, scriptwriters, character designers, musicians, CGI artists, and so much more, you don’t have anime. Some projects can be done with one person.

Video games have shown us that it’s possible, but one person does not do most anime. If you look up your favorite anime, you’ll find there’s a production company, animation studio/s, and more.

It’s safe to assume that your favorite anime is only possible due to an army of people. But in most companies, those people are not being paid enough for their work.

WIT STUDIO, CloverWorks, Aniplex, and Shueisha are trying to change that with their new company Joen.
