A new trailer PV for Muv-Luv Alternative Season 2 was released, revealing the opening and ending theme song, and Blu-ray box details.
The Muv-Luv Alternative Season 2 release date is on October 5, 2022, the Fall 2022 anime season. The anime will premiere on Fuji TV’s “+ Ultra” frame and other stations. Crunchyroll will also stream the anime as part of its Fall 2022 anime simulcast lineup.
The anime was first announced in December 2021, at the end of the 12th and final episode of the Muv-Luv Alternative Season 1. In August 2022, a teaser trailer was released revealing the October 5, 2022 premiere.
The new trailer reveals and previews the opening and ending theme song of the anime.
The OP theme song of Muv-Luv Alternative Season 2 is “Akatsuki wo Ute” (“Fire Until the Break of Dawn”) by JAM Project and Minami Kuribayashi. The single will release on November 2, 2022, at the price of ¥ 1,320 (tax included).
The ED theme song of Muv-Luv Alternative Season 2 is “Saikai” (“Reunion”) by V.W.P. The single release date is yet to be announced.

Muv-Luv Alternative Season 2 Blu-ray BOX
It was announced that the Blu-ray BOX containing the second season of Muv-Luv Alternative will be released in two volumes — Blu-ray BOX III and Blu-ray BOX IV.
The 12 episodes of Muv-Luv Alternative Season 1 were also released as two Blu-ray BOX volumes on January 28, 2022, and March 25, 2022, respectively.
Blu-ray BOX Volume 3 will contain episodes 13-18 of the anime. It will release on January 27, 2023, in two versions — Normal Version and Limited Edition Delux Version.
The Normal Version is priced at ¥ 21,780 (tax included). The Limited Edition Delux Version is priced at ¥ 24,200 (tax included) and will come with an original drama CD.
Blu-ray BOX Volume 4 will contain episodes 19-24 of the anime. It will release on March 24, 2022, at the price of ¥ 30,800 (tax included) and will come with a plastic model by Kotobukiya.
