Jinbei is the 10th member of the Straw Hat Pirates. With his statue erected in Uto, all the Straw Hats would be together in Kumamoto prefecture helping with the reconstruction efforts.

What is the Kumamoto Revival Project?

In April 2016, a series of earthquakes hit the Kumamoto prefecture in Japan. The two most devastating tremors measured 6.2 and 7.0 on the Richter scale. Following the quakes, Eiichiro Oda, author of One Piece and a native of Kumamoto prefecture, donated ¥800 million for the reconstruction efforts and started the ONE PIECE Kumamoto Revival Project with the aim of inspiring the reconstruction efforts. In April 2018, the Kumamoto government awarded Oda the “People’s Honour Award” to praise his contributions to the relief effort.
