Overlord Season 4 Episode 1 arrived on July 5, 2022. It’s been confirmed that the fourth season will have 13 episodes in total.
Japan is already making a pre-order available for the Overlord Season 4 Blu-Ray and DVD box sets! Not only do the pre-orders have a chance to come with special goodies, but it confirms some questions about the new season.
I’ve only had the privilege of watching Season 1, but Overlord is easily one of the best isekei anime I’ve seen. If you love power fantasies and a not-so-traditional protagonist, give Overlord a try!
What’s included with the Blu-Ray & DVD pre-order?
While most details like final art, price, and availability outside of Japan are still unknown, we know how long Overlord Season 4 is and how many discs are available. Both versions will be released in three segments, with roughly 4-5 episodes each.
Overlord Season 4 will have 13 episodes that will adapt light novels 10 and 11 since the upcoming Overlord movie will cover the next arc after the Dwarven Kingdom and is canon. A campaign to commemorate the pre-order is going on in Japan.
It started on July 5, 2022, and ends when supplies run out. However, some sites offer pre-orders, so fans outside of Japan might be able to purchase them.
Make sure you check the official page and note the titles for the pre-orders. Each volume will contain two discs, one for the episodes and the other for the bonus features.
Overlord Season 4 Blu-ray release date
Overlord Season 4 Vol. 1 will go on sale on October 26, 2022. Those who arrive quickly enough will get a special 3-way back case, character design/Digipak drawn by Satoshi Tasaki, a special soundtrack CD, a reduced version storyboard of episode 1, and a special leaflet.
The standard bonus features are Chibi Character Anime, Purepure Purea, non-credited OP/ED, and special notice. It contains episodes 1-5 and will run for about 121 minutes plus the bonus features.
Overlord Season 4 Vol. 2 will go on sale on November 25, 2022. Most of the bonuses for the campaign are the same except for a special voice drama CD, and the reduced version storyboard is for episode 9.
The standard bonus features are Chibi Character Anime, Purepure Purea, PV collection, and special notice. Vol. 2 has episodes 6-9 and will run for about 97 minutes plus the bonus features.
Overlord Season 4 Vol. 3 will go on sale on December 23, 2022. Not only will you get a 3-way back case and a character design Digipack by Satoshi Tasaki.
But you’ll also get a full volume storage box by Tasaki, a complete setting materials collection, World Guide 4, a condensed storyboard for episode 13, and a special leaflet. Standard bonus features include more Purepure Purea, Banshin/CM collection, and special notice.
Vol. 3 has episodes 10-13 and has an expected run of 97 minutes plus bonus features.
Are there any more cool items with this pre-order?
Yes, but you’ll have to be in Japan to get your hands on it. When you pre-order Vol. 1 at certain stores, you’ll receive a unique A3 poster using anime-drawn-down illustrations.
But the poster is also on a first-come-first-serve basis, so don’t wait! If you place your pre-order at a Kadokawa store, you’ll receive a unique drawing-down drawn-down on reproduction-colored paper on a first-come-first-served basis.
