Prince of Tennis 2: U-17 World Cup release date confirmed for Summer 2022

It’s been ten years, but now we know that The Prince of Tennis 2: U-17 World Cup release date is on July 6, 2022. We also have a new trailer showcasing the Australian team.

How will Ryoma and our favorite tennis players fare against the hosting team? Nets will burn, sparks will fly, and the music will have us bopping while we epically watch tennis.

What do we know about the teams?

Masamichi Kitada is Jean Fitzgerald, Shunsuke Takeuchi is Chris Hopman, Yu Miyazaki is Milky Milman, Genki Okawa is Mac McGregor, and Keito Okuyama is Noa J. Dorgias. The Australian team is ranked 18 in the U-17 World Cup.

We also know the voice actors for the German team. Kentaro Tone is JJurgen Valicevic Volk, Mitsuki Saiga is QP, Yohei Azakami is Michael Bismark, Chiharu Sawashiro is Elmer Seigfried, and Ryunosuke Watanuki is A. Frankensteiner.

The German team has won the U-17 World Cup nine times and is ranked number one. 32 teams will be competing, but half of them will lose by the next round.

The U-17 World Cup arc is very long, but this is a good sign that The Prince of Tennis will continue for years to come.

What is The Prince of Tennis?

Takeshi Konomi began publishing The Prince of Tennis in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 to 2008. It follows a rumor of a 12-year-old boy entering the 16-and-under tennis group.

How can someone so young hope to compete with more experienced players? But this boy is Ryoma Echizen, and he’s made it his mission to be the best tennis player in the world.

The original manga inspired an anime from 2001 to 2005, two anime films, a theatrical short, a few video anime projects, a live-action movie, a live-action television series in China, and a stage musical series. In addition, Konomi launched The Prince of Tennis 2 in Jump SQ in 2009.

Ryoma joins Japan’s top training camp for players under 17. It gained an anime in 2012, The Prince of Tennis 2, The Prince of Tennis 2 OVA vs. Genius 10 series, which has five volumes and ran from October 2014 to June 2015.

The Prince of Tennis 2: Hyotei vs. Rikkai Game of Future project also streamed in two parts, and the second came out on April 17. They Ryoma!
