The main trailer PV for Smile of the Arsnotoria anime was released ahead of its release date on July 6, 2022.
The show will air on TOKYO MX, BS Nippon TV, and AT-X on July 6, 2022. It will also be available on platforms like d anime store, U-NEXT, ABEMA, etc. It will also be streamed on Crunchyroll as part of the summer 2022 anime simulcast lineup.
The TV anime adaptation of Smile of the Arsnotoria was announced back in May 2022. Information regarding the main cast and staff was also revealed, along with a teaser visual and a teaser PV.
The main trailer PV introduces us to the additional cast of characters and previews the main characters’ voices.
The additional cast of characters introduced in the PV is:
- Yukana as Solow
- Marina Inoue as Hammit
- Asuna Tomari as Perdura
- Yumiri Hanamori as Voyniy
- Reina Ueda as Breaker
- Minori Chihara as Lidel (anime-original character)
The PV also previews the OP theme song “Hajimari e to Tsuzuku Basho” by Hanauta (Fifth Dormitory). Hanauta is the group of the five main characters of the show.
The ED theme song of the anime will be performed by Kobato Miku, the guitarist, vocalist, and founder of BAND-MAID, under her solo project called cluppo. The name of the song is yet to be revealed.

Cast and staff
The main voice actors from the Warau Ars Notoria game will reprise their roles in the TV anime, as follows:
- Misaki Kuno (Hawk in The Seven Deadly Sins) as Arsnotoria
- Miharu Hanai (Shiori in Selection Project) as Mel
- Miyu Tomita (Miko Iino in Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as Petit Albert
- Eri Yukimura (Canya in In the Land of Leadale) as Picatrix
- Eriko Matsui (Kirukiru in Armed Girl’s Machiavellism) as Abramerin
Naoyuki Tatsuwa, best known for directing Nisekoi, is directing the anime at LIDENFILMS. Midori Gotou (Hoozuki no Reitetsu) is in charge of the series scripts. Takahiro Kishida is designing the characters with original character designs by Shinichirou Ootsuka. Ryo Takahashi and Ken Ito are composing the music.

Smile of the Arsnotoria anime is based on the mobile game created by Nitroplus. The game developed by NextNinja and published by Good Smile Company was released on iOS and Android in March 2021.
A manga adaptation by Masaki Hattori began serialization in Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine on June 8, 2022.
A novel adaptation of the TV anime has also been announced. It will be published in the Famitsu Bunko imprint by Enterbrain.
