A teaser trailer for The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World revealed the main cast and staff of the series.
The anime was first announced in April 2022 with a January 2023 release schedule. The teaser PV confirms that The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World TV Anime will be broadcast on TBS and BS11 from January 2023.
The anime teaser PV introduces the main characters and depicts Ray’s encounter with his friends, his terrible past, and life at The Arnold Academy of Magic. The teaser also reveals the main cast and staff of the show.

- Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Ray White
- Iori Saeki (Vanilla in Nekopara) as Amelia Rose
- Nana Harumura (Dori-chan in The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter) as Elisa Griffith
Masahiro Takata is directing the anime at Cloud Hearts. He is also in charge of the series scripts and directing the sound. Makoto Shimojima is designing the characters. Tatsuhiko Saiki and Natsumi Tabuchi are composing the music.

The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World anime, known in Japan as Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu: Sekai Saikyou no Majutsushi de Aru Shounen wa, Majutsu Gakuin ni Nyuugaku suru, is based on a light novel series of the same name written by Nana Mikoshiba and illustrated by Riko Korie.
The novels were initially published online on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro in October 2019. The series was later acquired by Kodansha, which began publishing the novels under their Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint in July 2020.
Five volumes have been released by Kodansha to date.
A manga adaptation with illustrations by Norihito Sasaki began serialization in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website and app in June 2020. The chapters have been compiled into nine tankobon volumes to date.
Kodansha USA has licensed the manga for an English digital release in North America.
The story follows the most powerful soldier, the Iceblade Magician — Ray White. Ray hides his identity and enrolls in The Arnold Academy of Magic to live a normal life. But to protect his newfound friends in the Academy, he will have to confront his past.
