Bad news for all the Isekai Ojisan fans, the Uncle from Another World Episode 8 release date has been postponed due to Covid.
Earlier in July 2022, due to the rapid increase in the number of coronavirus cases at Atelier Pontdarc, the production company in charge of the series, and other related parties, the fifth episode of the series was delayed for 2 weeks from August 3 to August 17, 2022.
It seems that the production staff is unable to control the spread of Covid, and hence the series has once again been delayed. The seventh episode of Uncle from Another World was just released on September 1, 2022. On that day, it was announced that the anime’s broadcast would be suspended from Isekai Ojisan Episode 8 onwards.
In Japan, previous episodes of the anime will be rebroadcasted for the full month of September 2022. Here is the September 2022 broadcast schedule:
- September 7: Episode 3
- September 14: Episode 4
- September 21: Episode 5
- September 28: Episode 6
The Isekai Ojisan Episode 8 release date has not been announced yet. It will be determined at a later date.
Similarly, Netflix’s Uncle From Another World Episode 8 release date hasn’t been announced. Even though Isekai Ojisan is a Netflix exclusive for international streaming, Netflix is only a licensor, not a producer of the anime series. Japanese broadcasters AT-X and BS11 (Nippon BS Broadcasting Corporation) are directly part of the anime production committee.
Uncle From Another World Blu-ray/DVD release dates could be delayed?
In June 2022, details about the anime’s Blu-ray and DVD were released. And recently, the jacket image and digipack illustration of Volume 1 of the Blu-ray/DVD has been released.
- Volume 1: The first volume will be released on September 28, 2022. It will contain episodes 1 to 4 of the anime. The Blu-ray price is ¥ 14,300 (tax included), and the DVD price is ¥ 12,100 (tax included).
- Volume 2: The second volume will be released on October 26, 2022. It will contain episodes 5 to 8 of the anime. The Blu-ray price is ¥ 14,300 (tax included), and the DVD price is ¥ 12,100 (tax included).
- Volume 3: The third volume will be released on November 25, 2022. It will contain episodes 9 to 13 of the anime. The Blu-ray price is ¥ 14,300 (tax included), and the DVD price is ¥ 12,100 (tax included).

As you can see, Volume 2 contains Uncle From Another World Episode 8. Considering that the production schedule has been pushed back by an entire month it’s possible that the Uncle From Another World Blu-Ray release dates will be delayed, as well.

Uncle From Another World, or Isekai Ojisan, is based on a manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Hotondoshindeiru. It has been in serialization on Kadokawa Shoten’s ComicWalker website since June 2018.
