Kemco, a game company best known for its massive library of JRPGs, released a trailer for its upcoming title. And it has a long title, which in English translates to: “Isekai Rondo ~ Your company and the other world are both black, so from here on out, I’m aiming for a white life! ~”
It’s a rather interesting title meant to appeal to the legions of isekai anime fans out there! And from what we’ve seen from the trailer, Kemco’s latest game does seem to stick to the genre’s conventions.
The basic premise is, as follows: Sho Suzuki, a young man leads an uninteresting life working a dreary day job at a company in modern-day Japan. But one day, he’s reincarnated in a strange world due to an accident. However, Sho’s immediately given the class job of “Unemployed” and must now lead a life of hardship and bad luck.
Eventually, Sho encounters a stone monument and acquires the highest class job of “Sage”! He then masters passive skills and subsequently becomes the strongest in the land. Will he now reach his goal of living a white life? Well, Sho’s life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Viola and sets out to defeat Demon King Noqua.
Kemco has categorized Isekai Rondo as a Different World* Reincarnation RPG. Reportedly, it’s currently a Japan-only title for Android and iOS devices and will release on September 8, 2022. Furthermore, the Android version will be free, whereas the iOS version will cost 860 yen (approximately US$6).
But the likelihood of this game receiving a Western localization seem high, given Kemco’s track record in this regard.

Kemco brings budget-friendly JRPGs to the masses
JRPGs that come out on consoles and PCs tend to be expensive — the Atelier series is a good example. Fortunately, Kemco has made the genre more accessible with free and low-cost titles.
And while Kemco’s JRPGs may fall short in the presentation department, they make up for it with solid story-telling and rewarding progression systems. Therefore, Isekai Rondo should satisfy those seeking a JRPG that’s easy to get into without breaking the bank. Let’s hope that an English localization does happen and that it happens soon!
