A new commercial for the One Piece JRPG — One Piece Odyssey is out a week before the official release of the game.
The game will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S on January 12, 2023, and on Steam on January 13, 2023. A demo version of One Piece Odyssey will be released for PlayStation on January 10, 2023. You will be able to carry over your progress in this demo to the full game.
The commercial depicts a tired Junki Tozuka, best known for playing Shunpei Nara from the Kamen Rider series — Kamen Rider Wizard, coming back home after work to find a package in his mailbox.
He finds a copy of One Piece Odyssey in the package, so he connects his PS5 and starts the game. As he starts playing, he gets immersed in the world of One Piece. Nostalgia hits him hard as he starts tearing up playing the game.
The live-action commercial is accompanied by an orchestral arrangement of the first theme song from the One Piece anime — “We are.”

Photo Rally Event
A “Photo Rally through Memories” event will be held from January 7 to January 9, 2023. Here you can experience a nostalgic yet new adventure in the world of memories that can only be experienced in One Piece Odyssey.
The event will feature 43 different posters and billboards of One Piece Odyssey posted in the Shibuya area, and if you take pictures of them while touring around Shibuya and upload them to SNS using the designated hashtag, you will be entered into a giant “Gacha” at MAG’s GATE.
The prizes for the Giant Gacha include:
- Prize A: an original campus board
- Prize B: an original smartphone grip
- Prize C: an original sticker that will bring back memories
Storylines in One Piece Odyssey
The four confirmed locations in One Piece Odyssey include:
- Help Vivi save the country of Alabasta from a civil war orchestrated by Crocodile and Baroque Works
- Explore a beautiful metropolitan city and fight to rescue your crewmates from CP9 in Water Seven
- Join the Paramount War and attempt to stop Ace’s execution at the hands of the Marines at their stronghold, Marineford
- Team up with Rebecca, Sabo, and Trafalgar Law to save the city of Dressrosa from destruction at the hands of Doflamingo
