The My Home Hero anime release date is in April 2023, the Spring 2023 anime season.
A teaser trailer and a teaser visual for the My Home Hero anime were released to announce the premiere as well as the main cast and staff. (See below)
The anime was first announced back in June 2022 in the 29th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine.
The teaser PV starts with a shocking confession: — “My daughter, I killed your boyfriend.” It shows Tetsuo stepping into the world of death and violence in order to protect his daughter, Reika.

Main My Home Hero cast and staff
The cast announced for the anime includes:
- Junichi Suwabe (Yami Sukehiro in Black Clover) as Tetsuo Tosu, a 47-year-old toy salesman
- Sayaka Ohara (Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) as Kasen Tosu, Tetsuo’s 41-year-old wife
- Chihiro Shirata as Reika Tosu, the Tosu household’s only daughter, and a first-year university student
- Kent Ito (Hirotaka Nifuji in Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku) as Kyoichi Majima, a 20-year-old member of an organized crime group
- Shinichiro Miki (Roy Mustang in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) as Yoshitatsu Matori, Nobuto’s father
- Keita Tada (Hajime Saitou in Bakumatsu) as Nobuto Matori, Reika’s boyfriend
- Rumi Okubo (Kuro no Rider in Fate/Apocrypha) as Hibiki, Nobuto’s lover
- Akio Ohtsuka (Thorkell in Vinland Saga) as Kubo, the leader of an organized crime group
Takashi Kamei is directing the anime at Tezuka Productions. Kohei Kiyasu (Run with the Wind) is in charge of the series scripts. Masatsune Noguchi is designing the characters. Kenji Kawai is composing the music.

More about My Home Hero
My Home Hero anime is based on the manga series of the same name written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki.
The manga has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine since May 2017. A total of 17 volumes have been released to date and Volume 18 is scheduled to release on October 6, 2022.
The story follows Tetsuo Tosu, an ordinary salaryman who ends up killing his daughter’s abusive gangster boyfriend. He disposes of the body with the help of his wife Kasen and now it’s up to them to protect their daughter from any danger.
