To commemorate the release (and the tremendous success) of One Piece Film: Red, a multi-content Spotify playlist has been made available to fans worldwide.

Compared to the previous Spotify One Piece Film: Red playlist, the upgraded one features comments from Luffy and an 8-second loop video, in addition to the movie soundtrack.

An additional upgrade has been announced for August 17: the Storyline feature will add new messages accompanied by visual images and text.

Spotify’s podcast ANIZONE will be streaming a string of One Piece Film: Red commentary podcasts in August. Kaori Nazuka (Uta), Mayumi Tanaka (Monkey D. Luffy), and Shuichi Ikeda (Shanks) are the first guests.

Finally, the latest activity will include the One Piece Film: Red treasure hunt event in Shibuya, Tokyo, from August 8 to 21.

The One Piece manga breaks its own Guinness World Record

Meanwhile, One Piece Film: Red is boosting the popularity of Eiichiro Oda’s original manga series. Just a couple of days ago, One Piece’s official Twitter account revealed that the manga currently has more than 500 million copies in circulation worldwide, breaking its own previous Guinness World Record of “The Comic Book Series with the Most Copies Published by a Single Author.”

Thus, the latest movie has been confirmed to get a prequel episode, which is set to debut on August 14 and August 21, 2022.

The One Piece episode will center on Luffy and Uta’s childhood in Foosha Village and will depict their shared memories, which coincidentally also include Shanks and the Red Hair Pirates.

As per the One Piece Film: Red staff announcement, the movie will also mention some other popular characters of the franchise, including young Zoro and young Nami.
