The Fall 2022 anime season: The first day of the season starts with a bang!

Ready, set, go! The Fall 2022 anime season is upon us!

The line-up that has been announced so far comprises many impressive titles, some of which also happen to be among the most anticipated anime series/sequels in a long while.

Highlights for the first week of October 2022:

Let’s take a look at the October 1st line-up!

The Fall 2022 anime season will commence with one of the most popular anime series in 2022: SPY x FAMILY Part 2. In other words, this is the second cour of the popular series; the first cour ended with Episode 12 on June 25, 2022.

Based on the manga series by Tatsuya Endo, SPY x FAMILY is being produced by WIT Studio and Studio CloverWorks. The SPY x FAMILY Part 2 OP theme song is “Souvenir” by Bump of Chicken, while the ED theme song music hasn’t been announced yet.

Another title that will premiere on October 1 is Koukyuu no Karasu (Raven of the Inner Palace). Part of the first episode was screened during the Aniplex Online Fest 2022. The series is produced by Bandai Namco Pictures (BN Pictures). The OP theme song is “Mysterious” by Queen Bee, while the ED theme song is “Natsu no Yuki” (“Winter Snow”) by Krage.

Raven of the Inner Palace is based on the eponymous light novel series written by Kouko Shirakawa and illustrated by Ayuko and tells the story of an imperial concubine named Uki a.k.a. the Raven Consort, who is rumored to have mystic powers.

Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! Double (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Season 2) is the next title to premiere on October 1, 2022. The Uzaki-chan Season 2 will have 13 episodes, which will be released as three Uzaki-chan Season 2 Blu-Ray and DVD volumes. The Uzaki-chan Season 2 OP theme song is “Ichigo Ichie Celebration” by Kano and Uzaki-chan (Naomi Ohzora), whereas the ED theme song is “Happy Life” by MKLNtic. The ED song was written, composed, and arranged by Chinozo.

Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) Season 6 will premiere on October 1, 2022. New episodes will be released every Saturday evening at 5:30 PM JST in Japan. Crunchyroll will be streaming the new episodes as they come out.

MHA Season 6 will be a split-cour series, meaning that it will end in March 2023. Studio BONES is producing the series. The 6 OP theme song is “Hitamuki” by SUPER BEAVER, while the ED theme song is “SKETCH” by Kiro Akiyama. The MHA Season 6 will cover the Paranormal Liberation War arc.

Next up is Noumin Kanren no Skill bakka Agetetara Nazeka Tsuyoku Natta. (I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills), the much-anticipated series produced by Studio A-Cat. The TV anime is inspired by the eponymous light novels series written by Shobonnu and illustrated by Sogawa. The Noumin Kanren no Skill OP theme song is“Growing up” by 7ORDER, while the ED theme song is “Rolling Soul Happy Days” by Pop Shinanaide (“Pop Never Dies”).

Not bad at all for the first day of the Fall 2022 anime season alone?
